[SOLVED] [HELP]6th generation motherboard help

Assalam o Alikum,

Im looking to buy 6th generation motherboard under pkr 8000. Kindly suggest which model i should get. I dont need overclocking. Brand must b Asus.

P.s : ordered processor i5 6500.

In that budget you can only get Micro Atx board. B150 chip-set boards will be in range like asus b150m-k or b150m-A.B150m-a uses ddr3 so its old school and avoid it. H110 chipset board can be bought for under 7k like asus h110m-D or h110m-K. Summing it up get any one of below boards depending on your requirements like i/os etc.

There are some differences especially DMI and PCI Gen. H110 has DMI 2 (5gt/s transfer rate) where as B150 has DMI 3 (8gt/s transfer). But this will only be noticed in high end rigs with extreme cpu clocks , ram speeds and gpus. But for gaming at budget there will be no difference. PCI gen 2 has enough transfer to handle latest games. get b150 if you need gen3 and dmi 3

Ok thank you, yes i have gtx 960. So planning b150m-k, can u suggest which ram should i get for this board? Also if i go for z170 board what benefit i get other than m.2 port and overclocking option

With b150 you cab use 2133 ram. So get any personally i use gskill. Corsair vengeance would be my 2nd option.

Z170 has many benefits other than more usb ports. You can use higher frequency ram. Higher ran speed will get you more fps something to do with member controller on 6th gen.

Long life span. Can change cpu and you are good to go. You can also overclock 6500 on z170.

Plus z170 will get bios update to support 7th gen cpus. Msi,asus and gigabyte has announced that.
