Has anyone read Spider Magazine's review of the Nexus S?

I have never, ever seen such amateur work.

So when we heard about the new Samsung Google nexus S being launched less than a year after the Galaxy S, we were a bit sceptical. Could Samsung one-up the Galaxy S in less than a year?

A word of caution: Prepare yourself for outright comparisons.

So we were surprised to see Samsung opt for glossy plastic reminiscent of the Galaxy S instead of the frosted metal of the Nexus One.

Perhaps Samsung did not want to imitate HTC

This one was particularly noteworthy:

Similar to the Galaxy S, the camera is slightly left-aligned.

We did, however, notice considerable heating when multitasking.

Gingerbread is a notch above Eclair, so functions are more fluid, with lesser lag between command and response.

If the reviewer is reading this...please. Please. My eyes.

Abay. Don't even get me started on Spider. They are a constant joke.

Every month when the issue comes in at work, we go through it, find mistakes then call them up and yell at them for being idiots.

Once they published an article about a CREATIVE USB sound card with wrong price. The original price, at that time was 11,000/- and they printed the price as 5,000/-. AND they put in the wrong photograph of some other sound card.

This other time they had copied an entire article from Tom's hardware forum's comments.

and not to mention the spelling mistakes, typos and amazing jargon they've come up for the computer industry.

Back when Maximus II motherboard came out they had some serious spelling mistakes in the entire advert, [On the back cover].

1% in Pakistan: Yes. Elsewhere: Not so. Most major hardware review websites on the internet have pretty capable female writers who know their tech. However since fandroid is a developer as well that does tend to put her in a rare breed of females.

Well OK... But you're amongst the extremely small percentage of women who get tech stuff.
My current friends, class fellows, batch fellows, my ex, every single girl I know - Not good with tech. They're either not interested, or just don't get it.

One or two exceptions aside ofc

About the whole male/female agenda I'm against the idea of generalizing that girls know nothing about tech. In Pakistan, yes they don't (talking about majority). Outside Pakistan, no way.
