Habib University ? Is it worth it ?

What bothers me about NED and NUST is that if you're an A"level student ,there are limited seats for you .You can either opt for entry test (for which you will have to take ECAT) or take SATs (Which is another headache) .

NUST is open merit, there are no quotas for any specific educational or provincial background. Also, they have their own entry test (not ECAT).

How is the Parhai ka mahool in LUMS ? because AFAIK NED and NUST have the best Parhai ka Mahol

You'll find studious, career-oriented people as well as shameless people wasting their parent's money everywhere you go. Where you fit in is entirely dependent on your own conscience and the kind of company you hang out with. Don't make it a factor in deciding which unis to apply to.

My first cousin is in Habib, he got REALLY really fantastic grades..so he went there on a big scholarship. Also he works there as student job, so whatever they pay him goes to tution aswell..He really likes it there.
Habib is an outclass university in my experience.:I have been to their campus 4-5 times and have always been impressed. Most of their professors are foreigners (a couple are germans, frenchs, americans and a few other nationalities) ..the infrastructure + material provided is by far one of the best I have seen ...It is one university I can recommend with my eyes closed. Netherlands,Australia.Was applying to some universitiesi n Finland but due to passport renew ,i missed the deadline.Got acceptance in another university in China but the city was pretty isolated and boring ,friends recommended me not to go there so at last I got the letter for acceptance in BUAA.

Most of my friends study there..the only complaints i get from them is that the University is too far..other then that its quite a good university for Alevel Students

Studied from BSS Gulshan-A level campus . Had 2As 3B and 1C in A"levels along with a distinction in Applied ICT .I didn't give SAT a try because I wanted to concentrate on my A'levels more since 5 subs were already killing me .Besides that gave Mandarin exam because the major is taught in Chinese + English

Since you've already gone through this process do you think that's its worth applying to LUMS for computer science for someone who lives in Karachi? I'm still considering Habib and could probably get a pretty decent scholarship there

Cant really remember, but I know that he got exceptional grades..

My friends are studying at habib i too was offered 95% scholarship with my 3A* and A, later my computing 9691 distinction could have easily qualified me to 100% scholarship but still i didnt opt for it nor i would advice you why?
1) the scholarship is conditional to maintaining 3.5 or above GPA (which can be tough its not a CIE neutral exterminator)(initially there was no such requirement but now is, meaning this could climb higher)
2) the general atmosphere is not towards studies
3) the university expect you to be exceptionally awesome at studies (at a nerd level) and be a social butterfly at the same time
4) Even with scholarship its costly .8 to .9 million base semester fee isnt something light
5) this is still a pakistani university electrical engineer trainees are paid Rs 18000 to Rs 25000 here in pakistan and your employer wont give a fish about how much did you pay for your degree. so in the end its just bad maths
6) the uni's impractical dreams were proved when 1st batch 1st semester was so bad the university invalidated the results and passed the whole batch (wow nice shit man) and then the started thinking in line with ground realities introducing new polices so why experiment with your carrier in the hands of those who are not even clear on their own perspective.
