Playstation [Guide] How to turn on/off TV automatically with PS4 controller

Hello,

The guide is very simple. You need to go in your T.V. settings and enable HDMI Link. Its different name for every T.V. I have Sony Bravia and in my settings its named Bravia sync. Once i enable it, it starts to search for devices. Note that your PS4 must be turned on at this time. It is going to detect your PS4.

Outcome:
1- When you press PS button on controller, its going to turn on T.V. with PS4 automatically.
2- When you turn off your T.V. using its remote control, PS4 goes into rest mode automatically.

Very useful for me as i am not needed to always find the T.V. remote :bounce

Useful. A reminder though. The feature should also be active on your ps4. On different TVs as already mentioned, it may be called CEC, AnyNet+ (Samsung) etc.

Exact same case with PS3 too. Plus, you can control the menu of PS3 with your Sony TV as well. And the same goes for any Sony Home Theater that has Bravia Sync with it. I use it all the time. One remote to control them all.

Handy feature when you're too lazy to move and have only one remote in reach. XD
