My System Specs:
Asus P8H61MLX
Pentium G620
Corsair Vengence 8GB
Kingdian 240GB SSD
450watt PSU with 2x6pin connectors

I bought a brand new GTX 1060. I have pluged it into the PCI-E slot and have also connected both the 6pin connectors. When i turn on the PC the fans on GPU start spinning the system boots normally even the window login sound is heard through the speakers. Butttttttttttttttt there is no display I get a message on LCD "Check VGA Cable" I have bought a brand new cable but the problem still persists. Although the onboard GPU is giving display even when I have the PCI-E card plugged in and the fan is spinning. I went to device manager in windows and couldn't find my PCI-E GPU there. I also went to BIOS to change VGA setting and can only find two options there that both dont work. I get display on onboard GPU on both options "iGPU" and "PGA/iGPU". Need help

Same thing happened to me but my GPU was over a year old.If you can try gpu on another system do it,as my gpu was the problem in that position. So get your GPU checked, and as you've said it is brand new get it replaced through warranty claim.

Make sure of the following.
1. Make sure you're connected to PCI GPU, not the onboard. (Stuff happens lul)
2. Try HDMI or Display Port, or even DVI. If you have the spare.
3. Try another PCI-E Slot. The one below your main x16 slot, there should be another one, Put it on there and try again. (If main is dead, your Mobo is faulty).
4. Try different 2x6 Pin connector from the PSU.
5. Try the GPU in another PC.

Additionally
What type of power supply do you have?

You have mentioned you have bought this GPU brand new.
Go back to the shop with the GPU and tell them to check it since its not working for you.

Bankabilla GloriousChicken I have noticed a strange issue with my mobo. I just pushed the GPU hard toward the PCI-E slot and the fans started spinning a bit faster. I think the problem is with my PCI-E slot its loose. Anyways I will follow your suggestions.

Another thing i would add is not to rest.
You have just bought this GPU.
The sooner the better because shop keepers have a tendacy to blame it all on you after you bill out the payment.

I pushed the GPU hard into the mobo and screwed it hard there. The GPU is working now. I suspect its my mobo. But I will take it to the shopkeeper tommorow and will tell him that the GPU works only if I push it hard into the mobo lets see what happens when he checks it into his system. In the mean time I will play Street Fighter V all night :flame: I am very desparate to play that game.

Good idea to test it on another system just in case.

And if you mean hard, guess your PCI-E Slot is still new because its pretty tight for the first 2-3 times.

GPU actually Needs to sit tight into the PCIe. Nothing strange I guess. But yes you could try another PC or try reseating GPU another time on your Motherboard to make sure you're doing it right.
