Before pointing fingers at others, have a look at one of your earlier posts in this thread.

Your so-called revelatory "findings" could have been conveyed in a manner which would result in a rational discussion (even though you and I both know what you were pointing at has no place in this thread). But your mocking drive-by post was anything but that, hence you got all the "salty" responses. Posting graphical differences encourages the same kind of discussion in line with your "findings", so what were you trying to accomplish here really?

And is your post in the MK X thread also an attempt at a rational discussion?

I don't see why PG is different, but again there is no reason to be surprised considering some of the posters here. This is one of the reason why we can't have any proper discussion here without throwing insults around.

You posted your comment about DF article clearly mocking the console, yet I never replied to post of yours. I was just waiting for a proper comparison from DF between PC and consoles, and once I got my hands on some proper comparison screenshots, I did them before DF and posted here. What was wrong about it? The screenshots clearly show the difference. Even the comments agree. Yet this shouldn't matter anything to others because you can just pump the settings to max on PC and enjoy better experience anyways.

If "liking" posts can apparently have an agenda behind them (hope you get the reference) so can smileys. And when I posted the article from DF, I was infact laughing that the PC port handily beats thr consoles. I did not take any shot at the console gamers.

You are also ignoring my point that you somehow did not deem PG worthy of an elaborate post like at gaf? Right?

Now come on. By liking a post, you show that you are agreeing to his comment. Which is an entirely different matter from just adding a smiley like :baby::baby::baby: or :tv: :tv: :tv: :tv: or (lol) (lol) (lol) unless the smiley is something obvious like :shand: or (WGAF) or:GALS: or(imws) or:shutup: or:liar:

So what if there is a tons of insult thrown at a member in someone's post, or he is getting mocked, by liking that particular post, you are showing that you support that comment and agree with what is being said here. Speaking of which, I would love to see you abusing the "like" button less since it clearly shows everyone's name and in this turn, also their bias. But don't worry, I am not forcing you to stop doing this, whatever fits your boat, as they say.


Regarding Smileys on NeoGAF, how can I abuse them when we can't even see them in action. AFAIK, some custom smiley can show up for Mobile users and I have never browsed GAF on mobile.

I had issues? If I did, I would have replied back to that comment for sure. But nope, I was just waiting for a better comparison. The only issue I had was that it was not a conclusive evidence but sadly after your post, everyone just ran away with it, not to mention your post was more of a hyperbole calling it "far ahead" compared to consoles.

Even budget setup like i3+750Ti is far ahead of console performance :lol:

If you want another source on this matter, NXGamer has done an analysis on it. Here is his finding (via GAF).

NXGamer released his tech analysis of GTA 5 and made some pretty good comparisons.

So in summary from his video:
Tessellation on consoles is comparable to high on PC
Water on consoles is somewhere between high and very high on PC
Vegetation is very high on PS4 but high on XB1
Post FX is somewhere between high and very high. He couldn't tell much difference
Reflections in mirrors are ultra on PS4 but between high and very high elsewhere
Shadows are somewhere between high and very high on consoles with a soft look
Headlights from cars do not cast shadows on most objects on consoles

Also, the GTX 750 Ti runs a lot more like what I expected in this video. Rare minor dips below 30 but mostly hovering around 30-40FPS in car chases.

Which shows that the performance is not all rosy for the configuration you shared. All that is left now is for the final DF comparison which I am definitely looking forward to reading and sharing here. Hopefully it doesn't invoke similar responses again -_-

They are indeed quite bad these days with their tech articles. Hopefully you have also read their Project CARS article which was based on a very early preview build not meant for analysis and they had to later apologize about spreading misinformation and removed their videos.

I don't take their word as gospel either. I had personally downloaded and playing the MKX PC version before I went on to share that article, because it indeed has weird stutters and crushed blacks compared to the solid 60 fps on the PS4, as stated by DF. I wasn't even able to run it fully maxed at 1080p, which surprised me as this is an UE 3 fighter.
