after downloading ISO's from IPT, TPB or from any other site, u must use ABGX360 for verifications for Disc1....
and then Follow this tutorial.....

Instructions for JTAG/RGH Users:

1. The contents of each dvd are this:

DVD1 = Mandatory content Installation. You need this dvd to play the game
DVD2 = Single player + GTA Online

Which means the first dvd is just a normal DLC/additional installation and not an actual game.

2. Setup each DVD like this.

DVD1:

This DVD has to be installed on your console's internal HDD or a USB drive which was formatted using your console. The size of the USB drive should be enough for the entire disc. Extract DVD 1 using Xbox Backup Creator (or any other application you prefer) and copy the 'content' folder from the extracted files to your internal HDD or the external xbox formatted USB drive.

When you transfer your files, they should look like this

HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\54 5408A700000000
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\54 5408A700000001
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\54 5408A700000002
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\54 5408A700000003

i.e. 1 folder called 00000002 and 4 files inside it.
DVD2:

Files from DVD 2 have to be treated like a normal game which means you can either make an ISOrip (using XBC or other apps) and use that on your JTAG/RGH or make the ISO into a GOD container.

NOTE: Do not make a GOD container of the first DVD, your game will not work if you do that.

If you are Having Problems with DISK 1 (installations) use this method it works (100%)
*** This Guide is ONLY for modified Consoles. No ISO's!

* Before Downloading GTA: V or Playing GTA: V make sure to have at least kernal 16202!

Otherwise 2 things can happen
* 1. Console Will RROD (Error Code, just as MW3 did.)
* 2. The Console WILL Shut Off, and Not turn back on, for about 2-4 minutes.

cant we play gta 5 off an external hdd ---------- if the console is jtaged ---then whats the issue .

you can play on external HDD but i preferred internal HDD and if you do multi.ini thingy or extracting both dvd's via GOD, u cant play it... its freezing on loading screen (thats what happened with me all night till Fajjar prayer)... what i found a way just verify DISC 1 via ABGX360 (without it u cant play the game even u have done XBC) so please follow this method if u really wanna save ur time...
1. ABGX360 verification for DISC1
2. XBC for DISC1 and transfer those 4 files at location which is mentioned in above method
3. ISO2god for DISC2 and transfer to games folder (run FSD and play the game)

game will run... as i have tested this method and working 100% fine...

my Specs
XBOX 360 Jasper RGH internal 500GB...

what i dont understand is that if the console is jtaged then we can use any hdd externaly via usb ..cant we copy the gta game directly to external hdd -

it should not be a problem ...or we can also use xbox backup creator to extract disc1 and disc 2 and copy them to external usb hdd and then use that on the jtag console .

why are ppl having issues is beyond me -------jtag allows to play games via external hdd --so whats the biggy here

thats what i want to find out --disc1 can be extraxted via xbox backup creator and dumped in to an external hdd -----as the consoles are jtaged then whats the issue --

to play it in jtag:

Steps:
1. extract disk1 using xbx and copy the 545408A7 folder located in the CONTENT folder to your xbox hard drive CONTENT folder
2. extract disc 2 using xbc ( if it says access denied then right click and uncheck the read donly box) and copy it to your external hard drive or burn it to a disc
3. Play n njoi!!

Note: 1. after copying the 545408A7 folder to xbox hdd, u dont need disc one at all....just play disk 2..it will work as a pie
2. if u dont have free space in yo

Ok - I must have the worst luck ever.

I purchased GTA 5 from Future Zone (Liberty Lahore) and disc 1 installed fine but disc 2 would give unreadable error during the first mission. As expected it would not even install on the Xbox

I wen back and asked to exchange the disc - well they were out so I took cash rebate . Went to the shop opposite to Future zone and purchased another copy.

Got home - tried installing and it failed at 52%



Now help me with this - I popped in the DVD in my laptop - hoping the drive is better in reading. How do I extract data from the DVD (preferably Jtag data so I can FTP into my xbox)?


P.S.

The game does work and I can play... gotta say its fuckin awesome... I went to military base and tried stealing a jet lol! Sadly I died since it automatically went up to Level 4

don't do anything with those files, once you've done that download Horizon (google it), then extract disc 1 contents manually using any iso ripping software.

just go to xbox360iso.com forums, there's PLENTY of easy to follow guides there.

or just scroll up.

How much space do you have in usb? If its 32 then no problem just format it via ur 360 and plug in in ur computer... Download horizon for xhox360 google it to find. Once downloaded open it now it will automaticaly detect ur xbox formated usb now press inject file and go into the content folder of disk 1 (after extracting it with xbox image browser) in contnt folder go in last folder 000002 and select all 4 files and inject them they will automaticly placed in right place in ur usb. Now once done do whatever u do with disk 2 either convert it to God format or whatever and again press inject and select ur file and inject it after completion pull off usb and plug it in xbox and just tell me how awsome is gta and so funny is that chop's first mission lolz

I had a same problem yesterday but now sorted. It is not difficult at all. You need to just copy the dvd 1 extract to the contents 00000 folder it will do the copying in 10 min at max. Then go to fsd and play your dvd 2 from there.

Make sure your usb flash drive ( 16 gb or 8 GB ) is formatted via xbox 360 storage. This procedure is same as the DLC method.

i havebeen playing it without FSD it runs smoothly without FSD on normal 360 dash too... but FSD is recomended.

I'm running it off of xexmenu, only use FSD when it's a game with multiple discs (as in game content spread across multiple discs, and requires switching in-between) since FSD does that automatically.

Absolutely no problem of any sorts so far.

I think you and i have the same Corona 4 GB console.... I had the same problem and it took me atleast 6 hours to goole my way into palying it and formatting my entire External HDD full of games just for GTA... Here is what you should do and it will surely work;

1.) Backup your HDD incase you want to copy over the games back.
2.) Boot into DASH (NOT FSD3), go to settings > Storage and configure your External HDD. This will reserve 32 GB of your external HDD and the rest of the data on your HDD will be formatted.
3.) Now take off the HDD and plug it back to your PC..... You'll need to extract ISO of DISC 1 using Xbox BAckup Creator... Once it is done copy the "Contents" folder from the extracted data on the external HDD and just ignore the rest of the extracted files...... After that extract the Disc 2 ISo as well and copy the entire extracted data to the default folder of your games from where you run all your games in FSD.... Briefly, The contents folder from DISC 1 sits on the root of the HDD, while the DISC 2 should be in the games folder.
4.) Now plug back the HDD again to you 360, boot into FSD.... Go to file manager and copy over the "Contents" folder that you had extracted from Disc 1 to USBMU (Not USBMU Cache)... USBMU is the memory reserved by the 360 on your external HDD which you formatted earlier using the 360 settings...... Its going to take around 5-10mins for the folder to be moved on to USBMU as the "Contents" folder is around 7.5 GB...
5.) Once copied over just play the game off FSD.. The Disc 2 which you had copied over to your default games folder on your external HDD would have a GTA 5 Icon automatically loaded in FSD3 games....

I already performed the steps 1 & 2 last night, it was quite a headache copying the games to my pc for a backup and then letting the xbox format my external hdd although I only let it take 12GB (since GTAV requires 8GB didn't see the point in wasting the rest of the 20gb). Just waiting for the download to finish and then gonna start it without any further delays

1- I have a Xbox360 4gb Lt3.0
2- 2 Disc of Gta 5 Xbox 360
That's it, now what i have to do can any one tell, me how can i format my usb by plugin into Xbox 360
