Playstation Gran Turismo 6 in development. Will this game match the awesomeness of Forza Motorsport 4 ?

Polyphony Digital's head Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed once again that Gran Turismo 6is in development, at the GT5 Asia Championship 2012 event. He said a release date will not be revealed because he doesn't want fans to ask questions like "has this been delayed again?".

This metacritic thing that everyone loves these days, including our resident CerebralTiger implies the last forza is about 7 or 8 points better than the last Gran Turismo.

A better simulation racer? Please!!! Anything but a better simulation racer. Are you saying those words for lack of better comprehension?

Gran Turismo's simulation engine has been used by Toyota and Mercedes in their demo booths to show off driving simulations. The internet's full of those videos and you can even find it on Toyota's official archives. Please give me one real life example of Forza using real life sampling data for car driving simulation. Braking, Weight Shift Physics, Angular momentum physics, Traction Physics, material skid variation, general car mechanics and tunings, surface variation ( gravel, tarmac, asphalt, ice, dirt tracks), track creation system - these are facts. Subjectively, I find it better because of the career development system, online community tools, car sale and purchase, tuning, special challenge modes (Mercedes SL 1955 on a Wet Rainy Nurburgring? Why yes please), rally tours, F1 tours, Hypothetical supercars (I mean driving the X1 is INSANE - have you seen it go? Nurburgring in 4 fkin minutes!), Kart racing, snow drifting, Nascars, realtime endurance races and my favorite reason: HID wheel support. We can plug in the G25 and so many variations of Logitech wheels, or Thrustmaster or whatever - everything goes.

Also 3d, 1080p, Head tracking, etc etc.

Thirdly, They are two different video game series.

Fourthly, your logic is flawed, since you imply that gt5 released after forza 4.

:O Yes I agree gt5 was a HUGE disappointment for me but even then it is better than forza 4. I mean come on.
But yes gt5 is in no way better than the pc simulators for instance iracing, rfactor 2, assetto corsa etc.

Here's a little comparison between the console and pc racing games.

If we restrict ourselves to PC and Xbox360, GT5 has the best simulation engine. Any racing enthusiast who has played both games will attest to that. Metacritic doesn't account for Spec 2.0 review, GT5 matured a LOT after release. If I recall correctly, GT5 is the best selling title on PS3, right?
