Those of you who are eagerly waiting to get their hands on Gtx 1070 might be surprised that the performance of this card is on par with Gtx 1070. First of all i would like to tell you the difference between the normal 980ti and gigabyte 980ti g1 gaming. The following image show that on average and default mode this card is around 10% - 13% faster than normal Gtx 980ti. And everyone knows that gtx 1070 is 5% - 10% faster than 980ti on average. So this card is still faster than 1070.

Now if we compare 980ti G1 gaming with gtx 1070 directly here are the results:

Compare both the charts. It is evident that 980ti on default gaming mode is clearly faster than a 1070 both in normal mode and OC mode and if you overclock it the card trade blows with gtx 1080.

Hence it can be safely said that it performs on par with gtx 1070 and sorry to break your dreams that you guys are getting 5% more performance than 1070 with 18% less price and are better off by 23% altogether. Gtx 1070 will launch at a price of around 59k to 60k so you can compare and decide accordingly.
