gaming internet suggestion Lahore DHA?

I live in Lahore phase V.. Telephones lines haven't been laid down near my house yet so ptcl dsl is not an option.. Worldcall 4MB sucks as there is too much lag.
So can anyone suggest a good internet suitable for gaming on ps3?
Has any one tried wingle for gaming?

i would have recommended wateen ... it had been perfect .. but for the past month there has been alot of issues ..

I live in DHA Pasae 5 as well. only option is Wateen HFC and its excellent. i play BF3 online, i get 105 - 110 pings on some Singapore servers and get 155 - 170 pings on European servers.

DONT GO FOR WINGLE at all. if you want to try wireless solution then try Witribe but dont go for PTCL evo or cloud. i get excellent signals for EVO but internet doesn't work at all. after pining server continuously then i get some internet.

one more thing Wateen has installed UPS so that internet is up even their is no electricity, but due to current situation of electricity their is no backup, so thats the only disadvantage at the moment.

My tenant has Wateen Internet + Cable and he has told me that during loadshedding wateen service goes offline after 30-40 minutes, even nowadays when there is not much loadshedding in DHA still his service goes off after 30-40 minutes and then comes back online when the light is back.

Is this true? Share your experience please?

Yes this is true, it depends, for example i dont get any backup these days, because there are very less or none internet users around my house, so no one complaints about backup, i am the only one who complaints and they use to fix it within 3 4 days but then again after a week or two backup again goes away. i have come to this conclusion that they favour the areas which have more internet users and make them priority. so i don't complain any more now as i have bought a second Wateen (Wireless) connection and attached it to my UPS.

actually the back up in my area is only 1-2 mins after loadshedding, I have complained again to Wateen and they said they are replacing the back up batteries in all areas of dha but It'll take another two weeks and even than to be realistic back up would only increase to 30-40 mins !

When I had worldcall they told me they are fixing the backup issue as well but they never did so I think these companies don't really care since not many people in DHA complain to them. So I don't think they want to fix this backup issue :/

I guess I'll have to stick with PTCL for internet since it doesn't go down during loadshedding :wink2:

Yeah as as i said before only option is Wateen HFC. PTCL guys came 3 4 months back, i filled their form and got call from their exchange as well. but i dont see any progress. i saw them a month back doing campaign in front of Jalal Sons and Park behind it.

my suggestion is go for Wateen HFC and keep a wireless internet during loadshedding. at-least youl be able to play games when their is electricity.

I was wondering what you guys would recommend me.
I currently live in lahore and i need a good internet for online gaming mostly on my xbox. PTCL is currenty not the option for me and wateen wimax i having super low download speeds and high pings. I probably want a good fibre optic connection in lahore for gaming.

I just switched from Evo Wingle to Wateen. That EVO sucked all the time. Wateen is going good and its 1st day today

What's the situation in Phase 4? Thinking of trying their 8mbps connection. Also, anyone know about pings between Wateen and PTCL? Are they horrible?

I've had the Wateen 8mb for about a month now. So far the experience has been very good. I get pretty decent pings in Blops2. The download speed maxes out at around 700MBps, which I think is still pretty decent. No downtime or any such thing whatsoever. People in DHA should give it a whirl.
