Using this post as reference, where RE2 and Sekiro are tied and then seeing which games won in the GoTY blog afterwards, these are the only MC certified wins since then:

DarkZero (UK) : Resident Evil 2
Hardcore Gamer (US) : Resident Evil 2

No you haven't because there are Metacritic website that the blog hasn't listed and my count had Games Radar included which isn't reviewing games on metacritic now, thanks to you pointing that out. Like I said, you are just afraid to fact check and are only proving my point :laugh1:

The games were tied as per yourself after Cubed3, the blog adds wins sequentially, not out of order. RE2 is ahead in MC certified listing using the SAME SOURCES you're listing :laugh1:

Yes, I don't think they are comparable. Sekiro is basically a souls game with a different coat of paint and faster combat. And all mythologies (Greek, Japanese, Nordic etc) have so much in common they might as well be interchangeable. There's always a mythological demon, god, shrine etc.

The Yakuza franchise and it's modern Japanese trappings are so alien to the West that they didn't localize them for half a decade out of fear of the games not selling in the PS3 days.
