Aoa,

Gents, I am a 30yo father of 2 who works a standard 9 to 5. I was a PC gamer at heart but after getting married I sort of gave up on gaming because I was neither getting the time nor the extra cash to save and keep on upgrading my PC parts. I was cursed with the worst luck when it comes to GPUs, all of my GPUs died untimely for unknown reasons (4890, 5770, 280x). I still want to game and occasionally spend some hours specially during the weekend playing through old classics (Blood 2, Thief, FEAR, RA2, etc).

Point is, I suddenly got a hard on for a PS4. BUT, I don't have the cash with me and want to go for an installment plan, I found a seller at Daraz selling a 500GB Slim for 46k and I thought of getting it with my Silk card, translating into an EMI of 3,840 for 12 months. What do you guys think? Zero markup is also a plus but obviously the price isn't right. What do I do?

Best,
Murtaza

Buying a ps4 is a wise decision. There are lots of exclusive titles out there, including some ps3 remakes which are in my must play list. Now to answer your question regarding buying in installments. 46k is a hefty amount for a system that is on its way out. It is highly likely that in the coming months a lot of ps4 units will be available on cheap. They used to be sold around 24-30k right here on pg before the dollar hike.
For a busy guy why not look into a Nintendo switch? You will have a much easier time [emoji6]

Switch is a nice option but I do want to try the exclusives and other AAA titles, Switch just doesn't have the same portfolio as a PS4. With such a huge catalog to choose from, I know I will get my penny's worth out of the PS4 even after the next gen is here. I don't want to be on the bleeding edge anymore, I just want the best bang for the buck and an endless selection of games to play from and I think that is where PS4 delivers.

PS: I am even open to get a used console but nobody would give it up on installments lol.

For the price of almost 4000 a month, I think it is good. even if it is overpriced.
Getting a used PS4 is a better option compared to Daraz...

If possible, grab a pro or something. Otherwise, Get the electronic warranty from daraz for your PS4. it's a good option.

As for PCs...
Nowadays competition in the market really pushes the manufacturer to opt for cheaper parts to keep up with sales or the marketing edge.
Honestly, PC Gaming is running out of my own scope too.
I'll probably stick with a console for the next gen too while using the PC for light gaming or something... if fate allows that is.

Would suggest that you look for a used slim version, that will be a perfect choice for a weekend gamer. PS4 has some great titles which shouldn't be missed. It will give you that gaming fix you need.

Get a ps4 and forget the long issues of getting a disc. Now things are going digital. You can purchase topups and start playing.
