Final year project Help

Assalam o alikum

I need help in selecting my final year project for MCS.

It must be mobile based project (restriction from university). I know java and C++ so i think only option is android.
(if any other mobile programming is possible with java ,C++ then name it)

I want to make a project which serve as a final year project and when i go for job interview i can show them that i made this thing.

so guide me where should i start looking to get a idea for the project. All suggestion are welcome.

Android development has a pretty different flavor of Java.

If you've good with C++, try looking into IOS development.

Yes i am good with c++. i have good concepts of pointers and OOP

and how to find out which app will be good for project and also help in finding job.
actually i dont know what to build. any suggestions where i should start looking

i must say it is pretty disappointing of your university to restrict you to mobile development which is fairly common now a days. At Masters level just a simple mobile app shouldn't cut it. Anyways mobile is just a platform like desktop and you can do any number of things albeit with increased difficulty due to scarcity of proper tools. Image processing,GIS,machine learning for games are just some of the ideas that come to mind.

yes i know a simple mobile app will be rejected. so i need to made solid proposal else they will reject it.

if you are familiar with java try flex .. you can make cross platform mobile application on it .. and do pretty much everything using adobe's tools..

I believe Flex apps are a dying breed.
The lack of proper threading support kills it for me, really thinking about porting everything to HTML5.
