Neither Final Fantasy nor MGS are the reason most people get consoles. They're multiplatform games anyway. Getting released on an additional platform (PC) changes nothing.

There was a time where most of games were coming Console(PS2 and PS3 era) but things has changed completely.

Ps4 exclusive per year average 4 to 5 games including Indie.

PC exclusive per year average more than 50 games including Indie.

If have a PC like [MENTION=24078]DarkLordMalik[/MENTION] than really u dont need Ps4 for multiplatform games and PS4 will be totally Irrelevant except exclusive.

You have no Idea if yo say Final Fantasy and MGS are some small series that nobody cares about. I mean they are the soul reason Consoles will survive in Japan this GEN. If these games fail to sell, goodbye Japan.

Looking at Divinity ratings, it might be GOTY. HORIZON 2 and SUNSET OVERDRIVE are the only ones posing some threat. But new CIV is also coming. So I think PC wins this year when supposedly the great NEXT GEN arrived after 8 years lol

Elite Dangerous is a 2015 title, but not Star Citizen. Only one module is available, and that too is in pre-alpha. There are 4 other modules, none of which are close to being available.

I didn't change the definition. I explained to you what the definition actually is.

And what makes you think a bigger budget doesn't have an impact on gameplay, graphics etc.? The developers of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture (formerly a PC exclusive, now a PS4 exclusive) explicitly stated that they didn't have the resources or the budget to be able to pull off the game that they had envisioned. With Sony's backing and due to the collaboration with Santa Monica studios, they are now able to pull it off.

I never said they're small games. But they aren't exclusive to either of the consoles either. They're multiplatform games. You don't need a PS4 in order to play MGSV or FFXV.

Also, the recent FF games haven't sold all that well in Japan. Both MGS and FF actually sell better in the west now.

See, this is your problem. You know for a fact that the PS3 dominated the last generation with a library of highly acclaimed exclusives, but you shrug them off as part of a laundry list of titles that are "half decent". Meanwhile, mediocre games like Shadow Warrior that no one liked are "fun" in your book. And even that isn't exclusive to the PC anymore. You like to point out all the console-only multiplatform titles that make their way to the PC, but fail to point out the PC titles that eventually land on consoles. This works both ways.

Such as? Even if FFXV goes multiplatform (which is likely to happen), the PS4 will continue to be the prominent platform for JRPGs. You won't find games like Persona 5, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Disgaea 5 outside of the Playstation ecosystem.

Divinity is a well-received game, and if there's no better game this year, then it deserves to win. Unlike you, I'm not going to make excuses about critics being paid by the game's developers for its positive reception.

Your logic is this:

1. Game is exclusive to console(s) --> Metascore is low --> game is crap
2. Game is exclusive to console(s) --> Metascore is high --> critics were paid for positive reviews
3. Game is exclusive to pc --> Metascore is high --> GoTY
4. Game is exclusive to pc --> Metascore is low --> it's still a fun game

You do realize that the same can be said for the PC side of titles. DOTA 2 was the biggest release on the PC side for 2013 while PS3 got The Last of Us, the game of the generation .
