The Chapter 9 boss whooped my ass, prolly because I never grinded enough. I was too spoiled by Oblivion and new to RPG's. So, I couldn't kill that smug bastard and then my PS3 YLOD'd and the save file was lost.

Just to enlighten you, I was arguing on the fact that Hope could have been much less irritating if a little bit of his personality was changed. I never said that I liked the other characters, I never said any of the other bullshit you assumed. Maybe before replying you should read my posts more carefully instead of hastily replying.

On topic: The game seems pretty unimpressive so far.

Care to share your thoughts on exactly what improvements should be done so that you actually begin to like it? I think they improved it enough, maps seems larger, linear factor is gone, more mini games, battle system is tweaked slightly, hopefully more side quests.... The only thing i am not sure about is the story...

Let's just hope there's a better story this time, Well actually I think the story in FF XIII was pretty good too, It just lacked proper Direction/Narration and the characters could've been better, some more than other.

Why should I? I have discussed this game to death previously, that why I don't like it. And battle system's layout looks like it has been incidently copy pasted like before. This doesn't feel like a traditional JRPG anymore. Sorry. Secondly, how do you know the game isn't as linear to death as XIII? Because SE said so? I wouldn't believe a goddamn thing this company says. Story is of significant importance in any game which relies on it. Make a poor story, and I lose 80% of the interest in the game.

L LegacyGamerGuy:Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
