It's actually widely known that Fiberlink takes a very long time for installations. When I applied for the connection the first time, Usman Ghani (who was in-charge of sales at the time) refused to take my money and said he'll ping me when he has a better idea of when they'll be able to deploy my connection. He said he doesn't want to take any order where he doesn't have a reasonable timeline for deployment.
Over an year later, he gave me a deployment timeline of at least 3 months and I paid the installation costs. I never pinged them after paying and 3 months later, I got a call from their deployment team that they're coming over to install the connection.
Fact is, if you do a even a slight bit of research, you'd easily find out that they have very long deployment timelines because of huge demand. I'm not sure how any person would hear about Fiberlink and not know about their deployment process since it is pretty widely known (for instance, this thread probably has more than 50% posts related to deployment).
The obvious reason for this huge demand is that they are offering very high-speed fiber connections at very low rates compared to their competition, and that's why people are picking Fiberlink. Keeping this in mind, it's obvious they don't have large profit margins (if they are profitable at all) so of course they will try to save money in any way they can. I know that their deployment team works 7 days a week and still they aren't able to install new orders within a month.
Of course I'm not saying they're not at fault at all. They should communicate expected time of installation upfront when taking orders (like they did to me) and their stability and reliability issues after getting the connection is a whole other story. But again, all this information is easily available and I'd say it is applicant's fault for not doing due diligence before placing an order. We tend to look for reviews and get feedback from others before buying a phone or a laptop or any other large purchase, so internet connections should be a no-brainer as well. I mean this thread is the
top search result on google for "Fiberlink reviews" after all.
