Asalam O Alikum.Mein aik bande se Graphic card buy kar raha tha aur woh Karachi mei rehta hae aur mein Peshawar mein.Usne mujhe bola ke tum mujhe pehle paise Easypaisa karoge and phir shipment karunga.Maine usko paise send kardiye phir uska number band arahe.Abb mein kya karu?Amount was 13.5k..Woh mein aik doo web pe dekha ke kisi ne dusre bande ko scam kiya toh woh bol raha tha Police.Toh koi aisa banda hae joh bata sakta hae ke police madad kar payegi?

"As Salam O Alaikum. I was buying a graphics card from someone in Karachi (I live in Peshawar). He asked me to transfer him the money using EasyPaisa before shipment of the graphics card. I transferred him the money but now I can't reach him as his cell number is constantly off. What can I do now? The amount transferred was 13.5k. I searched around the web and found that he scammed another guy. Can anyone tell me if the police will be able to help me with this?"

It should be 100%.
and the Higher the better.

BTW do share the username of that person and the cell no here so that he can be traced and dissected.

Can you introduce a third party here on PG to avoid these type of scams. That party would get the money and the merchandise and match those. Once satisfied the money and the merchandise would go forward to their deserved parties. Just a wild idea xD and if any party frauds his ID can be banned plus the money or the merchandise would be safe

guy send me money in night it was for digital code deal.i decided to get money in morning as he sent to as soon as i send him code he withdraw money back through easy paisa.then his no is off the idcard he used was of some 72 year old person .in bank transfer if something happened atleast we can get all the details and i am banker and i know how much details of ac holder are available with the bank

never do easy paisa or these kinda sh*t transfer for big transactions exceeding 2k etc...

always prefer banks or other safe measures...

It's not easy as you think. Alot of discreet factors are being involved.
An insurance company thought of launching a third party coverage insurance upto Rs, 10,000/= on arrival, etc. They had a demo run but unfortunately their was a bad run of looting on this as ppl misused their dry run for fake claims and this was suspensed.

Now coming to this third party escrow. I've been saying it loud here on pg , involve a mediator and I've done it on volunteeringly basis a zillion times.

In Pakistan there are a huge false claim factors which might not help you on the issue.
I've witnessed ppl dont saying the truth wheb confronted. If we were that straight, things would not been that difficult.

Mostly I seen the mistake is on your end. We dont verify and we feel we are safe.

I was scammed once internationally, the guy was staying in namibia and had an korean IP.

Well it was my fault. I am trying to mention here, we don't verify. Legit news is always good for us. Don't include yourself on the path of a greed.

This is why paypal doesn't comes to pakistan. As per usa rule, I heard if you claim a cheque in 99 years even after its been cashed out, you can claim it.

We hardly have rule here in pakistan ( sbp ) policy.
If it was soo true, Swiss banka should have been empty

If you allow me, I might try and become a middle man dealer on PG.

By simply being the designated middle man, I can take the money and product of both parties and then send it to each other once the deal through them is done.

not a bad idea actually...
