PC EA Launches Origin Access Subscription Service for PC

EA has announced a new service that will give subscribers access to a range of PC games for a monthly fee, much like the EA Access service currently available on Xbox One.

The similarly titled Origin Access is available now in the US, Canada, UK and Germany. According to EA, it will be "coming to more countries soon."
The service launches with 15 games in total, a full list of which can be found below. Membership costs $4.99 per month in the US and Canada, while it's £3.99 and €3.99 in the UK and Germany respectively.
"At EA, we're passionate about giving our players more variety, more flexibility, more value, and more fun," the publisher said in a statement. "Origin Access brings players endless gaming with a growing collection of great PC games."
Much like EA Access, it is expected that the library of games will grow over time. Newer EA games will also appear on Origin Access before they are publicly available.
Here's the full list of initial games on offer:

• Dragon Age: Origins
• Dragon Age 2
• Dragon Age: Inquisition
• Sim City
• The Sims 3
• FIFA 15
• Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare

• Dead Space
• Dead Space 2
• Dead Space 3
• This War of Mine

EA has previous given Origin users free games. The last game was Jade Empire Special Edition, which replaced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2.Syndicate, Peggle, Battlefield 3, Dead Space, Plants vs. Zombies, and Dragon Age: Origins, have also previously been available free of charge.
EA Access is not available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation EU boss Jim Ryan said it doesn't fit in Sony's ecosystem.
"We don't have anything against EA Access, we just need to position it," he said. "These sort of offerings they've got to fit into the framework of everything we do and everything that we offer. And we're just not quite comfortable with how it sits within the whole ecosystem of our digital offering, including PlayStation Plus."

These games are added over time and FIFA 16 might be added at the end of Spring 2016 since that was the time they added FIFA 15. But for those who just casually play soccer like me, FIFA 15-16, farak kia ha? :2cool:

I was just being optimistic

EA/Origin Access isn't such a bad service for fans of yearly game instalments. New rosters and updated teams is worth it, well sort of. I'll probably subscribe because some of the deals are pretty sweet and the games are not worth dishing out $60 per game.
