Oveall I would still give Microsoft's conference the edge because they tried REALLY hard for it and Phil Spencer is an entirely earnest dude who just wants to bring the Xbox brand out of the trash Mattrick left it in. Plus they announced so many PS4 and PC games there .. I can't help but be happy :p

Sony's conference was really bizarre ... the content was incredible but everything around the conference was bad.

Death Stranding was as weird as you'd expect but it still was a letdown. You show Death Stranding but don't bring out Kojima on stage ? Preposterous.
basically my thoughts..I would give it to Xbox

Also the intent shown by MS in buying out 4 really good studios and setting up a new one is pretty great to see.

The biggest (and saddest) news out of E3.

E3 marked the final time we'll hear from fake Kaz Hirai twitter :(

He's officially retiring and finally revealed his real name.

Good night and thanks for all the laughs :(

GamesRadar+ E3 2018 awards - the best, most exciting games at E3 2018 | GamesRadar+

Best in Show - Cyberpunk 2077

For Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red could've taken The Witcher 3, put a robot arm on Geralt and turned his horse into a motorcycle, and it still probably would've been one of the best sci-fi RPGs in years. Its trailer at the Xbox E3 2018 presentation promised much more, but that wasn't the incredible part. The incredible part was the behind-closed-doors presentation where it actually delivered on that promise. A fully customizable hero led to first-person shooting and action led to branching dialogue led to upgrading your cyberware led to driving a rad future sports car, and it all stacked up into the 50 most exciting minutes of E3 2018. Cyberpunk 2077 could be coming out next week and it would still be too long a wait to get back into that world.

Ghosts of Tsushima was THE best and most complete 'showing' at this E3, I believe. Sekiro came close, followed by The last of Us 2 game play, albeit without a release date, but otherwise, this event was such a borefest with all bluster but no substance.

Expected more from cyberpunk but it seems to be going the route of GTA, a rather fancier variant. Then there's the totally nonsensical death stranding which keeps getting more and more twisted and complicated with every reveal. It's about time they started making sense and offered mire clarity, but given kojima's involvement, it's going to be a tough ask.

That's great. I'll heavily attribute the difference in numbers to the length of the trailers.

Cyberpunk: around 2 mins
TLoU II: around 12 mins

But consider this:
1- Youtube does not require the full video to be viewed to count as a view. The widely accepted length is about 30secs.
2- TLoU 2's trailer managed that many views over other trailers ~2mins in length like Halo Infinite, BF V, Anthem, Forza 4, DMC 5, RE 2.

Correction to my initial post, the second most viewed official trailer upload is actually Fallout 76 with ~10M views.

Well, yeah, I don't dispute that Cyberpunk is actually the most viewed trailer but if you want to make such a record, having a lengthy trailer is not the way to go. [emoji14] I don't see a competition between the two for this reason. It would be more apt to compare Cyberpunk with other games with similar length trailers. Considering how many people simply ignore a lengthy video (instead of watching even for 30 secs), I think TLoU II's numbers are still pretty cool.

Updated E3 trailer stats, keep in mind any trailer shown in MS's conference has 24+ hour advantage of more viewer time. Fallout 76 is now the most viewed E3 2018 trailer. Halo Infinite is the only MS exclusive game with some traction, the rest have all been overshadowed.

XBOX

Halo infinite (Halo) 2.9 million views
Gears 5 (IGN) 376K views
Gears Pop (XBOX) 172K views
Gears Tactics (IGN) 55K views

Ghost Of Tsushima (GameSpot) 3.4 million views
The Last Of Us 2 (Playstation) 6.5 million views

More wins for Cyberpunk 2077, and one for RE2 Remake as well:

From Cyberpunk 2077 to giant Fortnite booths: The highlights of E3 2018
Game of the Show

Tom: It’s Cyberpunk 2077. The behind closed doors presentation of CD Projekt Red’s futuristic RPG was the most extraordinary E3 demo I have ever seen.

Dan: Same. It’s been almost 36 hours since I saw that presentation and I still can’t get it out of my head. The game is phenomenal. It was sad to see seminal cyberpunk author William Gibson dismiss the trailer on Twitter as “GTA skinned-over with a generic 80s retro-future” when what we subsequently saw of the gameplay was pretty much his novel Nuromancer brought to life.

Tom: It felt so far ahead of everything else in the technical stakes I’m having a hard time believing the party line that it’s a current generation game.
Best of E3 2018: Our top picks from this year’s gaming show | Trusted Reviews
Best Overall: Cyberpunk 2077

The developer wasn’t quite ready to show off its gameplay to the public, but a behind closed doors demonstration showed that already its strengths are shining through. The world of Night City feels alive and vibrant, and the combat looks like it’s going to have all of the depth and strategy of its previous role-playing games.

It didn’t just steal the show at Microsoft’s press conference, it stole the whole show.
USgamer's Best of E3 2018 Award Winners and Community Pick | USgamer
For this year's awards, we're following a similar formula to last year's. We have our Best Game of the Show (wherein the only requirement is that it was playable at some capacity), Best Non-Playable Game, Best Reveal (for celebrating a surprise announcement), and obviously our Community Pick for the Best Game of E3 2018.

USgamer Best of E3 2018 Winner - Resident Evil 2

If the rest of the game is even half as successful as the 40 minute preview I played (and I have reason to believe it is) then Capcom might pull off a remaster that outdoes its legendary update of the first Resident Evil.

Best Non-Playable Game - Cyberpunk 2077

Having seen the gameplay demo, I can say that folks are probably not prepared for the density and detail found in Cyberpunk 2077's Night City.

If someone told me Cyberpunk 2077 was planned for the next generation of consoles, I'd believe them. That's how amazing everything I saw looked technically.
