MULTI Do you prefer pirated games or original ones?

I prefer legit.

Piracy is loosing its appeal in current times because many games use internet for rewarding mechanics, multiplayer system and are often available at cheap prices.

It's not about not stopping to pirate games, it's software, music, movies and everything of this aspect as well. If you think that to just stop the downloading of games from torrents etc removes you from the pirate category then that is not so.

Everyone single person with internet access has pirated one thing or the other in his lifetime. Piracy is proof that we are human.

I love to do both,piracy and legitimacy, but when it comes to gaming,I prefer legitimate games,they have there own side of playthrough,particularly the multi-player feature & trophy or achievements earning & showing off ofcourse

I always thought that people who buy games instead of downloading them for free are silly.

Well, until... I bought BF3 for multiplayer gaming 2 years ago. Never looked back ever since. Now I can proudly say I own around 20 legit games. The developers deserve something in return for what they do.

I agree, game developers should be rewarded for their effort in creating legendary games. If money isn't a problem, just go legit.

My first legit game on the PC was team fortress 2, bought it on my friend's recommendation in 2009. After that, one game lead to another, though I still pirated games in some form till the end of 2010. It wasn't until 2011 that I completely stopped pirating games and only bought games that I intended to play the most. One of the best perks of going legit, you never have to worry about stupid cracks not working, crashing your PC, or corrupting the saves.

Was a budget gamer in the beginning, but now I pre-order games which are compelling and have most appeal to me. I guess it comes with time & age. Once you start earning and buy stuff with your own money, nothing can replace that feeling.

Generally speaking, I say go legit, even if money is a problem, you can always find second hand games around.

And I really don't understand, if you can buy a gaming rig which costs 50-80k, or a console which costs more than 40k or for a ps4 (60-70k), how broke are you really, that you can't afford a 1k or 2k game?

I only purchase games sometimes due to the multiplayer feature, otherwise I normally pirate (including movies, music & games).

Games which become smash hits in my own personel liking, i start searching collectors edition of those which include other paraphrelia besides the dvd.

I brought around 5-6 original copies of my all time Pc favourite Black Mirror.

Been pirating the games since atari 2600. But snice I joind steam in 2008. legit games only. Beside not worrering about cracks. I only buy those games that I play most. So, less games to buy and more fun to play. Also some day pakistani developer will start making games and if they dont earn money for there effert they will close it. So better start paying to those who deserve it.
