I want yall to say where I am right in these points & correct me where I am wrong

Now put Alienware , XPS or Envy aside & compare normal Branded pcs with Custom ones

Only a noob would refer to a Custom pc as ''Non/Un Branded '' they fail to realize that the parts are Branded

I personally like Custom pcs as they're upgrade able & you can build them how ever you want to

People say Custom pcs can have incompatibility issues how ever I never ran into one

Now the only benefit of having a Branded pre-built computer such as Dell , Hp , Lenvno etc is that all of their faults have been fixed , they're tested & are a bit faster due to they use parts of the same brand unlike Custom pcs

Now I'll state the disadvantages of a Branded pc

1-They're only upgrade able to a certain extent
2- You cannot change their casing or motherboard to a different brand
3-You cannot add high end graphic cards to them ( due to lack of space)
4-You cannot add big fans or Liquid coolers to them ( due to they don't have mounts for them although you can DIY through a drilling machine but not everybody knows how to use that)
5-Their power supplies have small fan , low wattage , aren't modular & don't have 80+ ratings on them & they don't come with external PCI-E connectors such as 6 pin or 6+2pin which are needed for mid range or high end graphic cards ( I know you can get molex or sata to 6pin adapters but I don't recommend using them on a power supplies which don't even came with one 6 pin connector
6- Their motherboards be m-atx (which are low end)
7- You cannot add a gaming power supply more than 550watts to them & if you do add a gaming power supply to them & they're mounted on the top of casing so it's fan will be at the bottom so it will throw hot air on the components where as in my Custom pc the psu is mounted at the bottom with it's fan facing down so it will throw hot air outside of the case & my case has a dust fliter to prevent dust
8- They come with the OEM version of Windows ( which doesn't get any support from Microsoft & it's stuck to the motherboard )
9-They come with use less software's pre-installed / bloatware such as Norton & Mcaffee ( they suck , they slow down the pc & they're the worst )
10-They're expensive & they cost twice or thrice than Custom pcs & you build a Custom pc way cheaper with better specs

I am using Dell Precision T3500 Casing but i have customized it really well. I have put Intel XEON X5650 in it. Installed latest Radeon R9 390X in it. Also Put Cooler Master 750 PSU GM 750 M which has a fan throwing air outside the case and not below on the GPU. I have put custom fan in it of 1.6 Amperes and removed the default one which throws air really well on the GPU. Also put custom fans of XBOX 360 in the case for out take of air. using windows 10 in it which is working flawlessly. All latest gaming titles are running on 60FPs.

SO all it depends on your choice of components and how you install them as per the room present in your case. :wink2:

Only a noob would refer to a Custom pc as ''Non/Un Branded '' they fail to realize that the parts are Branded
Customs PC In perspective, you will built it in parts where you choose different brands and products as per of your choice. Whatever you want from the Machine you select the hardware likewise. un mature people or noob says it non Branded but the official term used is Custom PC.

On the Other hand. Branded PC refers to a Machine with company or Factory fitted Hardware Tested and Verified from every angle and shipped to the Distributors. but here in Pakistan those Branded PCs can be customized as well. Shopkeepers do so, if any replacement needed they will do as per there understanding on it.

People say Custom pcs can have incompatibility issues how ever I never ran into one
Sometimes if you don't have much knowledge for the specific hardware you can face issues. like H61 board dont have 1600mhz RAM Support and in any way you receive that frequency RAM, you will ran into issue. hence Compatibility issue incur. this is one example. Custom PCs do have compatibility issues but Forums are full with tons of Solutions. But you're independant in Custom PCs

In Branded Machine you're wholly Dependant on Shopkeeper or seller to provide you stuff having Zero compatibility concern.

Now the only benefit of having a Branded pre-built computer such as Dell , Hp , Lenvno etc is that all of their faults have been fixed they're tested & are a bit faster due to they use parts of the same brand unlike Custom pcs
These Days Custom PCs are Damn fast. with Adequate knowledge of hardware you cn get compatible and good performance stuff for your PC which can perform quicker on large operations.

The only Benefit of Branded PC is Low cost.

Excellent nafu ... but what about the price point in this case? Customs cost more than the "branded" ones?

Of course, Branded will cost you way lower to custom for sure. the only Benefit or Advantage of Prebuilt setup.

Depending on your Choice of Hardware Customs PC costs varies. For Example, Kingston 4GB market value right now is 2K used. but few sellers tries to sell it around 2.5K some 3K. so every Seller will retain some proportionate profit outta every single component. so gradually when you ended up complete Built you will notice costed higher then you expected or estimated. But the more you spend the better performance will be.

Custom PC is like Jitna Gurr daloge Utna meetha hoge. :D You will still lose nothing if you're outta Gurr :)

For Gaming point of View you can't control your pocket and spend thousands. While Branded PCs are Pre-built and they are not meant for gaming until you customized them few parts and only if they are allowing you some space or in other case Company's Pre-built Gaming Machine. Actually it all depends on your Need, What you're wanna do.

Buying from Dell or HP website is different Scenario. its a Global Platform for building/Buying PC. Our community is too limited. In this scenario we definitely cost every bit high depending upon there components they use. depending upon the specifications.

We merely presumed local markets which reflects an opposite perspective.

obviously that is what you will get in Pak. Used parts.

It's always good to buy the product from the retailer's shop such as If you're buying a Gigabyte motherboard buy it from the Gigabyte's offical shop you'll get it cheaper from there unlike most computer shops in our country they bring it on order means they don't actually have it ( & if they do have some Gigabyte mobos in their shop they'll be low end ones) but they'll get it from the Gigabyte shop & add their benefit to it & then give it to you

The thing with branded PCs is that they can be supplied on-demand and in the quantity required asap.

Recently a DOTA 2 tournament was announced. Now with all the work required to organize a LAN tournament, you simply cannot buy individual parts for 30+ PCs, assemble them, test them to see if they work properly, and then install the OS, then install drivers for each part, then install the games, and then update those games. It is just way too much work. So when talking about bulk consumers, pre-built or branded PCs are the way to go.

For specialized tasks, there are also pre-built PCs (Alienware, Razer products etc), but as with all pre-built stuff, buying just one PC for your leisure would be very expensive. But if you are buying these PCs for your company which works in modelling or media design, then the company could take a small initial monetary hit to get their work started early. The time which is saved to get the design/modelling work started early by buying branded machines would produce much more money than you'd save on buying individual parts and assembling them one by one.

YES Both XFX and Seasonic aren't available here in PAk officially. No distributor here.

But you can always find Corsair Thermaltake brands here in quantity. plus Cooler master silent Pro Gold is availble at Galaxy.pk i guess its one of best PSU built among many GOLD supplies.

Custom Builds always win but on the other hand, if u get a custom build from a brand then they win big time.
for example dell provides a web portal for creating your own build all you have to do is just select the parts you want in your PC and pay for it and within 10-15 days your receive your custom built Branded PC on your doorstep that PC wins big time man! cuz all the errors are fixed and parts are synchronized by the company
