The endlessly farmable "loot cave" of Destiny is no more. Developer Bungie issued a hot fix today that, in its words, reduces "the effectiveness of a humbling number of economy exploits."
In a hot fix note, Bungie says, "The Hive of the holy 'Treasure Cave' have realized the futility of their endless assault on Skywatch and have retired to lick their wounds and plan their next attack." That's the more poetic way of saying that Bungie has nerfed the loot cave and that Destiny players will no longer be awash in easy drops.
Destiny players discovered shortly after launch that they could exploit the endlessly respawning acolytes and thralls, which were rich with gear and engram drops, in a specific area. It was a fast, effective way to grind for higher-level loot, but didn't align with how Bungie envisioned players should experience Destiny.
"The social experience of a cave farming run is amazing: the herding to get a team of Guardians all behind the line and firing in the right direction, the rush to grab the loot, the scramble when the panic wave starts, the beckoning glow from inside the cave," Bungie said in a developer note. "The speed at which the community organized around this activity was inspiring and humbling to us.
"But shooting at a black hole for hours on end isn't our dream for how Destiny is played. Our hope is that social engagement in public spaces is only one part of the Destiny experience."
While many players were likely expecting the loot spigot to dry up at some point, Bungie has made another change that will make it a bit more difficult to boost your gear. From today's hot fix: "Material rewards for dismantling Queen's Wrath gear will no longer provide ascendant materials, but missions will continue to drop Legendary items."

and wtf!! what kind of legendary is that it doesnt drop items which you are supposed to get from legendary gear? If thats how they want to do it then it should have been classified as some other rarity gear..the researchers over at Bungie are being paid for doing shit -_-
So now that i have to upgrade my gear, i have to salvage legendary items which i first spend a week buying? ggwp
Talking about randomness, I was talking with @Fir3d3mon about how he got the exotic bounty whilst offering the bounties with my bloodied hands to Xandar, and just within that instant a flash of white appeared on the screen ..and I was offered a selection of exotic bounties. I chose the mission for the Bad Juju rifle as it felt less of a grind..here are the steps I need to do in order to obtain this vile looking weapon
Other than the 10,000 crucible points rest seem very doable, I'll have to work really hard for these 10,000 points.

Also, Bungie has gone out to make direct comments on The Cyptarch, Loot system, Multiplayer balance, Voice chat, and weapons. It's a really good read and hopefully a sign of dedication that we'll continue to see going forward.

Some luck last night. 4 legendary gear items in under 50 mins.
Queen's kill orders were for Riksis in the Cosmodrome. It simply couldn't get easier than that. Three there, then one for Draksis.
Anyone got a map to find the Spirit Blooms on Venus? Need a lot of those to level up my legendary gear.

The single player is one of the worst I have ever played...but the artwork, graphics and gameplay is perhaps one of the best...Angry joe's review was dead on..
Search for chest runs with the name of that location, I will be farming the materials tonight as well I have come across several methods which claim 100+ material in hour of play. If you wanna join in let me know.
BTW guys I have did the weekly strike last night and got my reward of 3 strange coins. So now if I do the weekly strike with someone (who hasn't done it before) within this week will I get more strange coins? I need three more for Xur items ... I have managed to find 10 so far.

BTW the amount of the word "Farming" I have heard in respect to destiny is equal to as Farmville..That loot cave, which is no more, was a sight to behold. As mature men and boys gather around a singular point of interest, shoot and panic rush to pick up loot..

Venus, Ishtar Commons..the large circular area where Vex and Fallen are fighting each other. You will remember the area as it comes right after that giant library part..just move around in circles in the area and keep on checking the rooms for chests..occasionally go to the top of the crashed ship in the middle and look for the Spirit Bloom that spawns near walls

The most recent patch, 1.0.1 hotfix 5, closed that exploit off. But ... there is another.
If you travel to the Earth map and venture into the Rocketyard, bring a weapon with a modestly powered scope, point yourself in the right direction and fire away. You'll soon have more engrams than you can carry away, and plenty of ammunition for your trouble.
PS4Trophies says that the loot cave 2.0 has the same 6-second timer as the original, features the same drop rates and thankfully can easily be run solo. Just be sure to mind your manners.

screw you Bungie! this is how hardcore MMO gamers play! Had to buy most of my gear through hardwork and now that the progression has stopped and Forza Horizon 2 is almost out, time to stop playing this half cooked $500 million title. Play time 1D 20H though
It's a totally different ball game. There are no objectives or waypoints, you have to figure everything out yourself. It requires teamwork and cooperation to explore and clear large areas complete with bosses and puzzles. Plus raid can be stopped and resumed as long as the fireteam leader is the same player when resumed. Progress will be lost after the weekly reset each Tuesday (2 p.m. Pakistan standard time). Plus there is a guaranteed legendary/exotic item that can be earned per week.
