Don't tell me you redeemed it. My friend might buy it from ya
Sorry man, had to redeem it because I was required to take a few screenshots. Else, would've sold it.

sell the account lol
I have Overwatch on my account. Occasionally play it with friends.

For a game which lives and dies online, a month long delay probably means anyone who wanted to play had already played it
The PC's biggest issue isn't the delay tbh. It's the cheating community. 400 players were banned on day 1. Here's hoping Blizzard can keep things under control.

Richard uses his wife's laptop to test and it runs the game, it has the same 5200u processor my laptop has :p

U might see me in the lobbies @Necrokiller :p
Oh , wow. Even more surprising that a $60 dual core can hit a stable 60fps, and when paired with a $70 GT 1030, is offering a console beating experience. A rough estimate that PC would cost somewhere around $250- $300.

Don't get too excited :p this setup is good for a light-weight game like this, where as people are having difficulty maintaining performance in games like AC Origins with 1070's and 6th gen i5's elsewhere :p

This isnt about AC Origins tho :p
$60 dual core achieving stable 60fps while the Pro’s Octa core isn’t, youre right, thats not exciting, rather sad, For The Players :p

Honestly, this could have easily achieved 60 FPS, even the Xbox X isn't doing it, blame the Bungoo developers :p

Bungoo devs said themselves that the current game cannot do 60fps on consoles, unless you want tiny worlds with fewer players and smaller number of AI :p
But funny though how you jumped the gun on Bungoo but not Ubi when talking about AssOrigins. Dem double standards :p

The difference is the kind of game bungoo is making has already been replicated in 60 FPS across the current consoles so there is precedent for it. They chose to do resolution over performance, you certainly won't be getting 4K on that $300 PC mentioned earlier :p

and I dont' think there is any open-world 60 FPS game like AC: O on the current consoles, and going by various PC performance threads, doesn't seem like it's easy to get it to 60 FPS on PC's unless you have a 7th gen CPU with 1080's :p

There is? BF1 chokes on the Pro as well and thats the only game I can think of which matches the combination of scale and intensity of battles. Time will tell how well Battlefront 2 fairs, though the scale isn’t on the same level I think. What other similar scale MP shooter are doing solid 60fps?

The thing with DF is they don't tend to do follow up's on the games. NX Gamer compared 1.04 for BF1 and in 2 game play samples the avg frame rate is 58 and 55 on the Pro. That's hardly "choking". OG PS4 is choking because it tends to stay in the mid 40's more often.

I played the Beta on 60 FPS and 30 FPS. Trust me guys the experience was so dramatic that I had to opt for PC version.

I played Destiny 1 on multiple consoles and I am not coming from any PC Elitist angle. PC is the way to go this time.

Haha How much of that video did you actually see? Majority of the time he is running on empty maps on the Pro lol (hes practically roaming around without any enemy in sight and handful of team mates)... at half way point, a little action, gas grenade and a couple of enemies brings the fps down to consistent low 50s... the avg frame rate reading there is 52. That segment alone proves how much the game will chug in more action oriented scenarios...and had you actually played bf1 mp, you’d know it gets freakin crazy.

[h=1]Destiny 2 going offline for maintenance, patch before Trials mode returns (update)[/h]

[h=2]Trials will return![/h]

Destiny 2’s servers are going down for a few hours today as developer Bungie performs maintenance and releases a new patch.
Work began at 11 a.m. ET, at which point nobody could sign in if they hadn’t already been playing Destiny 2. At noon ET, Bungie will boot all remaining players out of the game. The maintenance window is scheduled to end three hours later, at 3 p.m. ET. By that point, Bungie will have released the version 1.0.6 patch for Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
The update includes a fix for collision detection with the Bureaucratic Walk emote, which was allowing players to use the emote to glitch through walls. That issue forced Bungie tocancel Trials of the Nine, Destiny 2’s high-intensity weekend Crucible event, for the past two weeks. Trials will return tomorrow, Nov. 3.
Update 1.0.6 also fixes an issue in which players were loading into empty public spaces too often, and tweaks a number of parameters for scoring in various Crucible gametypes. You can check out Bungie’s blog post from last Thursday for more details, although the studio noted that those aren’t the full patch notes.
In addition to the v1.0.6 patch on all platforms, Bungie will release hotfix 1.0.6.1 on PC. That update will remove the requirement for a CPU feature called Supplemental Streaming SIMD Extensions 3 (SSSE3), which was preventing people with unsupported processors like the AMD Phenom II from running Destiny 2 — even though those folks didn’t have any issues playing the PC beta over the summer.

Update (3:41 p.m. ET): Server maintenance concluded
an hour early, shortly after 2 p.m. ET, and both update 1.0.6 and hotfix 1.0.6.1 are now available. You can see the full patch notes here.

[h=1]Destiny 2 update to deliver 4K, HDR on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro[/h]

[h=2]The future is coming[/h]

Destiny 2 developer Bungie will soon update the game on consoles to add support for 4K resolution and high dynamic range (HDR) color, the studio announced yesterday.
The patch will arrive Dec. 5 alongside the launch of Destiny 2’s second “season” of contentand its first expansion, Curse of Osiris.
In case you were wondering about the power differences between the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, Destiny 2 will be a good example. On an Xbox One X, the game will run at 4K, full stop. On a PS4 Pro, the game will run in “adaptive 4K resolution,” which basically means “up to 4K resolution” — the console dynamically scales the game’s resolution up and down depending on how busy things are, with an eye on maintaining frame rate. (Destiny 2 is locked at 30 fps on both consoles, even if you’re playing on the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.)
For comparison’s sake, the Windows PC version of Destiny 2, which launched in late October, already supports 4K and HDR. Until now, Bungie had only confirmed that it would add HDR to Destiny 2 on PS4; neither the studio nor publisher Activision had said anything about Xbox One support, perhaps because of the tight marketing contract that Activision maintains with Sony for exclusive content on PS4. If Bungie wasn’t ready to discuss details of Destiny 2’s PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements until yesterday, that’s fine, but if that wasn’t the case, then it was silly for the studio to act as if the Xbox One version doesn’t exist.
As of September 2016, all PS4 consoles support HDR. On the Microsoft side, only the latest Xbox models — the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X — can do HDR.

[h=1]Bungie details Destiny 2’s newest area, Mercury, in Curse of Osiris[/h]

[h=2]Dare you enter the Infinite Forest?[/h]

Destiny 2’s first new playable zone will be on Mercury, and developer Bungie showed off the slowly decaying planet — and some of its unique spaces — today in the reveal livestream for the game’s first expansion, Curse of Osiris.
Here are some key stats to know about Curse of Osiris: The power cap is rising to 330 from 300 (with gear mods, to 335 from 305). Meanwhile, the experience cap will now be 25 rather than 20. And as far as activities go, Bungie confirmed in the livestream that it’s bringing back the heroic strike playlist with Curse of Osiris.

Bungie introduced Curse of Osiris with a cutscene featuring the legendary Warlock himself, who will be voiced by Oded Fehr (The Mummy, 24: Legacy). Like his student Ikora Rey, Osiris is a human Guardian; he is of Middle Eastern descent, and much of his armor (as well as, of course, his name) is inspired by ancient Egyptian culture. Osiris is also notable for his Ghost, Sagira, the first named Ghost — and the first female one — in series history. Sagira is voiced by Morena Baccarin, who becomes at least the third Firefly alum to appear in Destiny after Nathan Fillion (Cayde-6) and Gina Torres (Ikora).
Curse of Osiris’ campaign takes place a few months after the events of Destiny 2’s story, which — spoiler alert! — ends with the Traveler awakening and sending a pulse of Light through the solar system and beyond. That blast of Light, said Curse of Osiris narrative lead Christine Thompson during the livestream, was an “essential component” for the Vex’s master plan with Mercury, which the robotic aliens terraformed ages ago. They’ve activated a Vex gate on the planet, and Ikora needs you to investigate.
Osiris (Oded Fehr) and his Ghost, Sagira (Morena Baccarin). Bungie/ActivisionA revamped version of the Lighthouse on Mercury, which debuted in the original Destinyas a reward for players who could complete a flawless 9-0 run in Trials of Osiris, is the hub area for Curse of Osiris. It’s not solely a social space à la the Tower or the Farm; the footage from the livestream was played from a first-person perspective, whereas the view in existing social zones is a third-person camera.
More to the point, Bungie said that the Lighthouse has its own mysteries to explore, and that players will start and end many missions there. The studio also compared the characters who hang out there — including Osiris superfan Brother Vance — to the world nonplayer characters on Destiny 2’s destinations, like Devrim Kay in the European Dead Zone. A medallion on a wall in the Lighthouse bears 12 symbols, one each for an Osiris-modded weapon that players will be able to forge in Curse of Osiris.
A portal in the Lighthouse connects to the main patrol zone of Mercury, which offers the same kinds of activities as any other destination, such as Lost Sectors, Adventures and a new Public Event that Bungie built specifically for Mercury. Bungie played through some gunfights on the planet before heading into a massive Vex gate that leads to perhaps the most interesting new element of Curse of Osiris that the studio has discussed so far: the Infinite Forest.
The Infinite Forest. Bungie/ActivisionIt turns out that the Infinite Forest is “a reality engine the Vex use to simulate all of the aspects of reality that they can touch,” said Thompson. Three different versions of Mercury exist in this simulation: past, present and future. And the missions that are set in the Infinite Forest will vary in some way if you replay them, said art director Dave Matthews: “Odds are, that space is not gonna play out the exact same way.”
The encounters, enemies and objectives — as well as the time frame — can be different each time through, although Bungie stressed that the Infinite Forest isn’t procedurally generated. “We can create new and unique experiences every time you come into the Infinite Forest,” said Matthews. Bungie’s goal, he explained, was to “create something that felt like it could sit outside of time and space.” The Infinite Forest exists deep beneath the surface of Mercury — the Vex hollowed out the planet, and replaced its core with this simulation — which is why there’s no sky above it.
Bungie didn’t give any further details today on the activities in the Infinite Forest today, but two more livestreams are coming over the next two weeks before Curse of Osirislaunches Dec. 5 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. For more on the downloadable content, watch the clip from the livestream below, which also touches on the expansion’s introduction of “raid lairs.”

[h=1]Destiny 2 players get double XP this weekend[/h]

[h=2]Team up with clanmates![/h]

If you’ve fallen off the Destiny 2 train somewhat, this weekend will be a great time to get back on: You’ll earn double the experience points for everything you do.
Destiny developer Bungie calls this limited-time event a Clarion Call, and this particular one — the first for Destiny 2 — only applies to clans. In other words, the only caveat to earning double XP is that you have to be in a fireteam with at least one other player who’s in the same clan as you.
The Clarion Call will run from 10 a.m. PT on Friday, Nov. 17, until 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20. Bungie noted in its announcement last week that now is a good time to join a clan if you aren’t already in one. It’s not clear, but you may have to do that before the Clarion Call begins — in the example of clan engrams, which might operate similarly, you don’t earn them until after the first weekly reset following your joining of the clan. We’ve asked Bungie for clarification, and we’ll update this article with any information we receive.
Bungie did say that it will hold future Clarion Calls that don’t require clan membership, so fret not if you don’t like playing with other people.
For more on the future of Destiny 2, check out the latest details on its first expansion,Curse of Osiris, which launches Dec. 5 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. The add-on introduces a new playable zone on Mercury as well as “raid lairs.”

[h=1]Watch Bungie detail Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris’ new modes[/h]
[h=2]Check out the Infinite Forest[/h]

Destiny 2 developer Bungie is about to host the second of its three reveal livestreams forCurse of Osiris, the game’s first expansion. Today’s livestream, “New Ways to Play,” will focus on the new activities that Curse of Osiris will offer to players.
The show will begin at 2 p.m. ET on Bungie’s Twitch channel; you can also watch it below. Bungie provided the following description of the livestream: “Watch us preview some of the new activities that will challenge you and your Fireteam.”
Bungie kicked off its Curse of Osiris livestreams last week with “New Stories to Tell.” In that hourlong event, the studio detailed the expansion’s campaign — which focuses on a legendary Warlock named Osiris and the Guardians’ quest to stop the Vex threat on Mercury — as well as the planet itself and its Infinite Forest. In addition, Bungie revealed a new mode called a “raid lair,” an expansion to the Leviathan raid that will debut in Curse of Osiris.
Expect the studio to offer further details today on the Infinite Forest, which is a Vex simulation of reality that changes each time you play it. We may also get a look at what Bungie has described as Destiny’s biggest Public Event ever, an activity that the team is developing specifically for the patrol zone on Mercury.
The third and final Curse of Osiris livestream, “New Gear to Earn,” is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 29. The expansion will launch six days afterward, Dec. 5, on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

Destiny 2’s first big update of 2018 looks to fulfill players’ requestsImproved raid rewards, revamped Iron Banner and moreDestiny 2’s January update, the game’s first major patch of 2018, will launch alongside the year’s inaugural Iron Banner week, developer Bungie announced today. The event is one of a few elements of the Destiny experience that Bungie is overhauling this month, with the intent of making good on the studio’s recent promises to respond to fan feedback.The update, which will bring Destiny 2 to version 1.1.2, is set to be released next Tuesday, Jan. 30. Its most important change, arguably, is that Bungie is revamping the reward system associated with raids and raid lairs. The studio is introducing unique perks to raid armor, perks that only function when you’re on the Leviathan. These special buffs — which are broader (and thus, more useful) than the situational perks that the game currently offers — show up on new legendary mods.It will be possible to apply these mods to existing raid armor as well as new pieces, and the best part is that unlike other mods, they’re reusable — if you remove one from a piece of armor, you can reapply it. (Note that this will cost one Calus token.)The January patch will make it so that players who complete the Prestige version of the raid get the normal-mode drops as well. Speaking of raid loot, it’s no longer tied to specific sections of the raid, so “no matter what encounter you clear, you can get raid loot.” In addition, there will now be a chance for an exotic weapon or armor piece to drop from every raid encounter — an exotic item, not an exotic engram.If you’ve already finished the raid in a particular week but didn’t get the loot you wanted, you’ll now be able to buy it directly: Benedict-99 will offer a rotating selection of raid gear for legendary shards and Calus tokens. Presumably, this will not include a new piece of raid loot, a Ghost shell called the Contender’s Shell, which can drop from the boss fight in the raid or the raid lair. In a blog post from Bungie, senior designer Daniel Auchenpaugh explained its perks, which are active only on the Leviathan:First, Seeker of Brilliance enables the chance for encounters to drop Bright Engrams from their loot pools. Every time one doesn’t drop a Bright Engram, we increase the chance for the next. Remember those Exotics that can drop from encounters I was talking about earlier? Well, Seeker of Opulence means those exotics have a 50% chance to pull from a list of Exotics you haven’t collected yet instead of the standard list. Lastly, to top off this already pretty rad Ghost, we threw on Seeker of Glory, which provides a tracker for the number of encounters you have defeated on the Leviathan.“I realize this is a bit of an avalanche of text more than a wall, but I wanted to talk about both what we were working on and why we did it,” said Auchenpaugh. “I know we still aren’t going to address every concern here, but hopefully this is a start in good faith.”In addition to the aforementioned items, patch 1.1.2 will include a true fix for the exotic trace rifle Prometheus Lens, which has been various kinds of broken since its arrival in December. It will also introduce Masterwork versions of armor pieces, a counterpart to the Masterwork weapons that debuted in December. The update will not change the way shaders work, but senior design lead Tyson Green promised that Bungie is trying to solve issues such as the lack of an option to delete or exchange them en masse; the fact that they’re consumable items; and the desire to use them to apply a single color, the same way they worked in the original Destiny.“This work is ongoing, and we’ll go on record as to when the solution will land as we get closer to a fix that we test and certify,” said Green. “For now, it was important to us that you know it’s on our workbench.”As for 2018’s first Iron Banner, it will run from Jan. 30 to Feb. 6. Bungie promised that “there will definitely be Season 2 weapons in the Iron Banner engram,” along with weapons from the first season that players may have missed. This time around, there’s no limit to the number of engrams that players can earn during the week.Players have also been asking for the ability to spend tokens on Iron Banner gear directly, and they’ll be able to buy armor, armor ornaments and three weapons from Lord Saladin. In addition to receiving Iron Banner rewards from engrams or buying them outright, players will be able to earn them by completing challenges.The Iron Banner, with the Control gametype, will begin after the release of patch 1.1.2 on Tuesday. Bungie will take Destiny 2 offline from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET in order to perform server maintenance and push the update live.

[h=1]Destiny 2 will get a ‘major expansion’ later this year[/h]
[h=2]At least one more major content drop coming after expansion two[/h]

Publisher Activision confirmed today that Destiny 2 will get a “major expansion” at the end of 2018, but didn’t provide specifics on what the content drop would entail. News of a major expansion came during an Activision Blizzard investor call.
Developer Bungie recently outlined its plans for Destiny 2 through fall 2018 in response to player discontent. The developer later went into greater detail on what players can expect to see in Destiny 2 through May, when the game’s second expansion is scheduled to drop. But players hadn’t gotten confirmation about a major expansion beyond Curse of Osirisand the second, unnamed expansion until now.
Presumably, by “major expansion” Activision and Bungie mean something on par with The Taken King. That add-on for the original Destiny introduced a new enemy type, the Taken, and a new environment called the Dreadnaught. The Taken King also included a new public activity called the Court of Oryx; a new raid, King’s Fall; three new strikes; one new subclass for each of the game’s three classes; and seven new Crucible maps.
Activision Blizzard executives talked about the upcoming content for Destiny 2 in relation to sentiment about the game and maintaining player engagement.
“The sentiment is already starting to shift,” said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg during the call. “...We have a great expansion coming in May, and a major expansion coming at the end of the year, and those events have always been opportunities to re-engage our communities and win back people who have churned out. This is an incredibly passionate group of players and that passion is a good thing, even when the sentiment is critical, because it shows how deeply people care about the game, and we think that’s one of the things that makes this a great franchise, and we’re fully committed to listening to and communicating with our community more frequently and more transparently than ever and making the right changes to improve the experience and we think we have the right path forward.”
In the short term, Bungie will do its best to keep players engaged with Destiny 2’s next event, Crimson Days, which kicks off next week.
