Demon's Souls remake will have PS4 Pro style Resolution/Frame Rate options for players:

OMG yes!

That's my favorite game ever (along with a few others). Played it on PS3 before it was cool and was disappointed to notice that it wasn't a big thing back then. No Souls or Souls-type game will ever replace this one.

Demons Souls is a launch title on PS5, also coming to PC and 'other consoles' at a later time. Sony owns the IP so it would be interesting what 'other consoles' it's coming to... maybe late PS4 ports ?

In the demo the player keeps on 1 hitting every other enemy except the boss. Was the PS3 game like that too? Or was this a deliberate attempt to emphasise the boss fight ?

That looks like the tutorial section. They are letting you practice the controls which is why the enemies are easy. The real game starts after you die at the hands of that boss.

The new DF Direct confirms the Demons Souls game play demo is 60 FPS. Blue Point have earlier confirmed the game will have a 60 FPS and higher quality 30 FPS mode.

Their 60 FPS mode looks this damn good, the 30 FPS mode will probably have a load of RT effects and/or higher resolution on top of it.

This is one game I feel that definitely can run on the PS4 in a graphically watered down state. In terms of game and level design, it's based on a PS3 game, so that alone should qualify it. Perhaps Bluepoint doesn't have an alternate lighting solution for a potential PS4 version. That stood out as the most impressive aspect of the visuals. Reminded me of Deep Down's lighting, which was straight up some KIllzone 2 CGI level of fakery at the time lol.

If they are bringing this to the PS4, the lighting engine will have huge cut backs, cause that game play demo looked pretty fantastic. The other thing is the rift load times, which will obviously not be half a second on the PS4 anymore. Other then that the game play model/engine wouldn't require any cut-backs, it's fairly simplistic.

They're not half a second on the PS5 either. Its actually ~4 seconds.
