I got up from my seat to leave but when I saw the old dp I sat down again to watch the whole post credit scene
Yeah there were so many references and that Vanisher casting... oh man :laugh1:
In the original Deadpool, jokes were made about how the film's lower budget prevented famous X-Men characters from making appearances, but Deadpool 2 changed that in a big way. The Ryan Reynolds-led sub-franchise essentially operates independently of the main X-Men movies, but the two series co-exist in the same cinematic universe. This was readily apparent in the first installment, where Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead had supporting roles as Wade Wilson's unlikely allies. When Deadpool visits the X-Mansion, he remarks how those two are always the only ones home. The sequel brings back the gag during a sequence where Wade roams through the mansion as he mourns the loss of Vanessa. While having a conversation with Colossus about staying and becoming an X-Man, Deadpool once again cracks that the big names are nowhere to be found. The film then cuts to an open door behind Wade, revealing the hilarious truth.
We can now add several of rebooted X-Men cast to the growing list of Deadpool 2's A-list cameos. Included in the group shot are Nicholas Hault's Beast, Evan Peters' Quicksilver, Kodi Smit-McPhee's Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan's Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp's Storm, and James McAvoy's Professor X (which answers a question Wade posed in the first Deadpool). In the short scene, the group is in the midst of discussing something before a disgruntled Beast shuts the door.
As for how this sequence was shot, odds are it was filmed while X-Men: Dark Phoenix was in production. Originally set for release this November, the movie was in principal photographyfrom June to October 2017. Coincidentally, Deadpool 2 was in front of the cameras in June 2017, doing initial filming at Hatley Castle in Canada - the location used for the X-Mansion. With all the actors in the same area working on their films, the crews probably thought this would make for an amusing moment and the pieces fell into place. The record-breaking success of the first Deadpool most likely played a role in getting this to happen, as everyone (including Brad Pitt) wants to be part of the franchise now. It'll be interesting to see if there's a reverse version of this scene in Dark Phoenix, allowing us to experience it from the X-Men's perspective as they're rudely interrupted by the bickering Wade and Colossus. There's no denying that would make for a funny callback, but there's a more serious issue raised by the X-cameos. Par for the course for the franchise, it seems to muck up the timeline. Dark Phoenix takes place in the 1990s (see: Quicksilver's Nirvana shirt), while the Deadpool films are set in the modern day. It's odd the '90s X-Men would be the ones who showed up given the time difference, and perhaps it'll be addressed in a future project. Of course, the end credits scenes in Deadpool 2 have all sorts of ramifications that need to be sorted out, making the out-of-time X-Men look like small potatoes.

Deadpool 2's Post-Credits Scene IS Canon, Confirms Writers
Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Deadpool 2.
Deadpool 2writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese confirm that the movie's post-credits scene is canon. The writing duo has once again delivered a knock-out film following their enormous success with 2016's Deadpool. Some people are even claiming that the sequel is better than its predecessor, which is surprising considering how much anticipation there was for the film. This time, however, they got a writing assist from the movie's lead star, Ryan Reynolds, as well as a brand new director in David Leitch, who took over the project after original helmer, Tim Miller, exited. There's obviously a lot to unpack from the latest comic book film, which is chockful of Marvel easter eggs and gory action, partly due to the character's unique ability to break the fourth wall, not to mention his no-holds-barred brand of humor. However, what arguably stuck with people the most is Deadpool 2's post-credits scene, in which Wade traveled back in time to prevent catastrophes such as Green Lantern and X-Men Origins: Wolverine from happening. The result is perhaps the most meta-gag that the franchise will ever pull-off But the question remains, is it canon?
During a Reddit Q&A on the heels of the release of Deadpool 2, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese were asked an important question that has been boggling people's minds since they saw the film: is the sequel's post-credit scene canon? They answered positively, replying: "Yes, the after credit scene is CANON! Don't expect that device to stick around beyond this movie, though", thus referring to Cable's time-traveling device.
Evidently, the stinger was already a hit long before the movie even hit theaters, as early reviews specifically cited it. Some reviewers even called it the best post-credit scene ever. But, with the memory of Reynolds doing X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Green Lantern within the Deadpool lore no longer a thing, it's curious if Wade will still use both films as source materials for his jokes. The actor's involvement in the badly-received comic book flicks have constantly been a part of both his and Wade's schtick. Now that they supposedly didn't happen, it will be interesting to see whether or not they will still be referenced moving forward. Perhaps now is the right time to move on from said jokes and come up with new ones. After all, those quips have been used repeatedly in the last two films, as well as during promotions. That said, Deadpool and Reynolds can't really get rid of those movies as easily as they did inDeadpool 2. They're part of both franchise's tumultuous histories. Those missteps actually make it unique and special considering that they're reminders of how passionate the people behind these movies are, that they kept on working despite numerous setbacks.

Is it just me or people lately seem to defend every bad game design decision made by the devs and try to give bullshit reasons for that? Or perhaps it's because I'm on reddit and discord
