Its probably the power circuit board of the HDD which is fried, in which case you can get it changed ... provided you find one compatible with yours.

Bad luck struck me yesterday.
A virus had infected all of my friend's OS and drives so I decided to copy all data from non system drives to an internal hd (enclosed in one of those SATA to USB enclosures). The data was successfully backed up, drives formatted, OS reinstalled. Then I scanned the internal hd which contained the data. After a while I plugged it into the laptop with the new OS but it wasn't detected. Now I've tried on 3 difference systems. Even on Ubuntu. Tried using SATA converter cables as well. The hard drive just isn't getting detected. Lost aorund 200 gigs of really important data. :(
Any way of recovering it?

iCare Data recovery is another Masterpiece for recovering data. Being in Photo/video field we are prone to lose valuable data and we use icare for recovery. it is easily available. recovered many portable hardisks of 1TB using this software. :)

I lost some data, for recovery i used some software's, they do recover them but i unable to play it or see the pix..
recovered files show 0byte...any help?

Great job, my friend. I think your guide will help a lot. Although I recently tried to restore the file itself from my damaged hard drive, I didn't succeed. The only correct option for me in that situation turned out to be to contact a company that repairs hard drives and data recovery -- salvagedata.com because I could not do anything. However, I really needed the data on my broken hard drive. Everything was there, important files for work, study, and family photos, which are very important. So thank you, and good luck, my man. I think u're guide is great.

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.     Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
