Thanks @TrueCoolGuy

Capra Demon was easy only once you beat the dogs. Which is the hard part. I had to die about 10-20 times to kill the dogs. I got lucky this once that when I entered, both dogs were on the left of the Capra Demon which gave me space to run towards the stairs and I took em out easily. After that it was pretty easy. The Drake Sword FTW!!

Btw I need some help.
Im currently at the blighttown swamp. Wanderer class. Strength around 20 and Dexterity about 16. Some good resistance and endurance with about 12 Intelligence coz in case I wanted to learn sorceries later. I have the Drake Sword un-upgraded. And I can't really remember the armor but I guess I'm doing fine with it. Although I'm starting to feel that the Drake Sword is getting weaker compared to the stronger enemies. Basically I need help with equipment and stats that I should be upgrading.
So any tips would be great.
Plus I just find it effin difficult to play this game without a walkthrough. Even though I know it just takes away all the fun of exploring and surprises this game has to offer. But I just can't. How do you manage it ? :p

I used the Undead Burg bonfire near the merchant. There is a shortcut to the Parish in the room across the bridge where the Hollows are throwing firebombs.

DHA KARACHI.
Which level were you guys at when you faced the Capra Demon? I was at 27, easy peasy with Drake Sword.

And does anyone know where we get the Dragon Titanite to upgrade the Drake Sword?

P.S: Please dont tell me to fight drakes. :(

As soon as the battle started, I ran up the stairs and waited for the dogs to come. After killing them, I jumped down, took a potion and fought valiantly to my victory. :D

Yeah, the stairs are the safe haven for this battle :p
I really hated the butterfly thing boss in the forest area. Mainly coz it was all about dodging and I suck at it.
And I too need to upgrade the Drake Sword :(

^^If you suck at dodging then you better start practicing, Dodging is a key component in the game and I've found it to be much better than simply blocking with a shield, if you get good enough at rolling and evading it's better to just lose the shield altogether and hold your weapon in two hands.

Yea but I noticed how double handing reduces the weapon's durability points so rapidly. Btw I just don't understand how rolling works in the game. Is it that so you get out of the way of the attack. (Coz I usually can't) Or is it kind of like in Monster Hunter where the roll.. for just a minute fraction of a second, made you invincible if timed right.
Another reason I don't usually roll is because of my current equipment load. Its just below 50% so it makes me move OK but not fast enough to completely lose the shield. What are some good light weight armors in this game?

So guys what weapons you people using? I'm thinking of switching my Drake sword coz it doesn't have scaling.

dodging is fine, its bloody stamina that it takes with a fairly heavy armor on. I am currently at Lev 15. Those sons of Abuses will lead to banes barely give me a chance to run up the stairs :S

@Nabeel........Yeah I know but that only happens when you use the Drake Sword's power attack, the one that sends a shock wave into the ground, just strike regular enemies with RB and the durability stays fine.If you want to roll effectively you need to press B just when your enemy attacks, this isn't necessary for weaker enemies but let's say enemies like the Dark Knight whose attack drain so much stamina when you block them, against those enemies and most bosses rolling is the more effective option.Whenever the Drak knight attack you roll away to the side and attack then roll once your stamina is depleted break the lock on and get some distance between you and him so that your stamina can fill up.

Fight the drakes? Pfft hahaha, if it were that easy then every noob would be running around with Drake Sword +5. You have to kill the Hydra in the Forest lake or the giant Drake on the bridge to get Dragon Scales (not Dragon Titanites :p) Those are the only two monsters that drop Scales that I currently know of, there is another Hydra but I'll let you worry about it when the time comes :D I found most of my scales in chests, like the chest near the bonfire in Blightown (Although the baby Drakes in Valley of Drakes also drop Dragon Scales but its a very rare drop, even if you have a 350 Item Drop rate its still pretty rare)

@Nabeel95: If your Drake Sword takes about three hits to kill a single enemy then thats within the norm. The Drake Sword is a very powerful beginner weapon, unfortunately you are holding the most powerful weapon currently within reach already :S so yeah...

Rolling is only necessary when your up against strong foes who'll knock your shield back with one attack. There is a small window of invincibility when you roll so time it right, the window is somewhere between your character hitting the ground and getting back up. If you want a good defence then I might recommend the Elite Knight Set (found in the Dark Root forest, just before the butterfly boss) When you get the Elite Knight Armor go to the Blacksmith and buy 9 Titanite Shards and than reinforce the Elite Knight Armor chest piece to +5. It'll give you a nice defence of 65-70, thats a nice defense considering its weight. Ofcoure if you still feel heavy than you can get Havel's Ring (You get it after killing Havel, he's in the tower just before the Hydra in the Forest. You need a key to open the door to the tower, be careful he's a toughy)

Why are you guys bringing the discussion over here? There is a already a thread for this kinda stuff, so I suggest going over there and continuing http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f62/dark-souls-fight-struggle-suffer-106750/index22.html

it also has a lot of good tips and what not

Yeah the game is pretty meh before you get any good equipment and levels, which open new possibilities for explorations and stuffss.. I found the game boring until I got to the dragon fight at undead burg. About 2-3 hours in the game? At that point I started gaining interest coz... Dragons are EPIC!!
Its a pretty interesting and fun game but not for the light hearted casual ones :p. You'll be getting REALLY pissed off dying time and time again at the same spot and restarting miles away to get back to the spot.. only to lose all your souls (money) when you just die again =D But thats what makes this game awesome. It can really make you start praying to get past an area. *ahemblighttownanddepths*. (almost made me cry in frustration)

What he said

@deoX DNA: I see that your status is "stressed". Please do not play this game any further because it may lead to you throwing your controller towards your TV :p

I haven't been cursed yet.. But I did lose 20k plus 3 humanities and failed to recover them again.
Any tips on humanity farming? I mean I've been saving them up and never really use them coz I'm scared to waste them by dying again.

Guys, no worries about Humanity. You'll be able to acquire them later on when you get to The Archives. I got like 40 Humanities in 30 min, and with the patch 1.04, you'll probably get like 70 every 30 min. If you have humanity and your up against a tough boss then just reverse your hollowing and look for a summon sign somewhere near the boss area (ofcourse I would never want help, solo'd on every boss) Summoning a partner can be really helpful, I grouped with a guy who was in NG+ and was up against Orenstien/Smough boss (one of the toughest fights you will ever face) and this was in NG+ meaning they had 3X health and damage. I got killed in one swipe of the blade.

Dont worry about losing humanity, you can always regain your bloodstain to get them back. What I always do if I have a lot of humanities in my bloodstain is that I equip the Ring of Sacrifice and try to get to my bloodstain. If I die then the bloodstain still remains and I can try again.

You can also try and get humanity by leaving a summon sign just before a boss area. Its the best way to get humanity when you need it. Just get summoned and defeat a boss and you got humanity and now you can summon someone else and they can get humanity and so on and so forth...

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
