what paste are u using? best idea is to put pea drop pste on the chip and spread with some card like atm card type material, i use Sim card wala card, it's hard enough

Cm iceFusion 600 wali. Not the best, but still good enough. i have stick used for spreading paste, and i did with it. but still i remain in doubt.

will try to reapply. its a big mess the cooler, and have to unplugg board from casing tool.

@Asim Khan bro CPU cooler installed Fine but i think i applied a little too much paste on chip. but i'll check it again. waiting for the @Voodoo 2500K Temperatures @4.5

this is 3rd processor with the same paste
asus pz77m is a 4-phase mb...
single fan of 1700 rpm
vcore was around 1.28~1.29..... i wonder your vcore is higher despite your mb. has 6-phase... note my CPU also MALAY like yours ... the costarica one is installed on asrock z77 ext 6 which is on a short leave

Yes i think my vcore is little on the high side, comparing with your one. but its depends on luck too, even with malay chip you're getting better on both sides thats quite impressive too and same chip struggled to uphold @4.5ghz that's different behavior. secondly i am facing some vdroop too. i'll try to lower the voltage.

4.8ghz would be the challenging. lets see the stronghold

yes, every chip has its own behavior

check ur bios for LLC (load line calibration) and set it at "ultra/extreme" to minimize vdrop under stress

i set LLC to "ULTRA" while vcore in bios is 1.25, under stress it increases upto 1.28~1.29

I don't know if i have overclocked or not, and why i am uncertain is this, attaching screenshots:

After boot, in the very start the multiplier hold 44x and cpu is running at 4.4ghz, but not after that ... also it has been validated: CPU-Z Validator 4.0

This screenshot showing the processor didn't go above 3.4ghz maybe?

and bro it may be a window issue, that it is recognizing as 3.4ghz but it is actually 4.3. as the validation link confirms it as 4.4ghz. HWmonitor is not always right

But your Physics scores suggest it actually ran @3.4ghz, because your processor is better than mine, your score should be around 8k @4.4ghz or may be more.

2nd, as u can see the screenshot, cpu-z shows 4.4ghz in the start, when windows boots to desktop, then after it stays at 3.4ghz, this is the problem ... so i set the bios to default settings and running 3.4ghz base and 3.8ghz turbo, cpu-z clearly shows 3.8ghz turbo when intense cpu operation is done, rest i don't understand what the hell is this ...

see when i did it temps were room in side the room even , as its water cooled by seledon 240mm with 4 fans / roughly 70c odd on physics tests .

now as temps have over all gone down room cooler - same oc same bench 6c fall in temp

be carefull when runing intel burn test / or furmark with over clocked setings/ that really pulls a lot of juice via the cpu - if you have applyied over voltages you can degrade the cpu

now adays weather has changed too. which is good for OC addics.

yes IBT is more like furmark. its loads high and increases heat upto 5% compare to prime95.

well i will give the format but validations are good enough i am sure u can use them .

so its your another setup. excellent temperatures there @Voodoo. by using fresh paste and changing cooler brought very impressive results.

i think i should reapply the paste. But venomous already better to v6 GT. won't make any huge difference.
