I meant bandwidth capped? As in what speeds are you getting on torrents both dl and up?

Also with connect connection what do you guys do about windows sharing and networking ?

nope .. im getting around 950-1200 on torrents on download and 380-470 on upload ...

sharing is pretty easy .... they setup a PPTP userID and password for you which you login thru windows ... or if you are using a router .. then you can setup WAN connection to PPTP and you will be good to go .... like im using my TPLINK router on PPTP WAN and im sharing my connection on both wired and wireless stations ...

and i get a static External IP address aswell :D

lol light keliye generator aur UPS ka setup hai ;)

i am also trying to get fiber optic connection from connect..which devices you had to buy for the fiber optic setup ?

i had to pay 20k installation and my local connect.net.pk dealer arranged all the stuff for me (fiber optic cable, media converter etc) ... just find a local reseller of connect.net.pk in your area and ask for corporate package..

i talked to connect guy yesterday he told me that media converter will cost 5k and i will have to pay for the fiber optic cable its 25/30rs meter and the cable price will depend on how far is the connect main optic fiber line from my home... how much you paid for the wire only ?

i never changed DNS settings it works fine over TP Link router.

Check 16th Page of this manual for option to put DNS: And contact faizy for settings.

Here's another way to bypass the imposed torrent throttling: https://filestream.me/—It works just like Furk.net except that this one does not have a daily limit. (It does, however, have a limit on maximum torrent size, which is 5GB.) Put the magnet link of the torrent you want to download, Filestream will download the torrent to their storage (doesn't takes much time from them to download). Once it's downloaded, you can easily download it over HTTP, thus avoiding the speed throttle since there is none on HTTP downloads!

Note: Once you are ready to download, they provide two options: Non-SSL an SSL. Use the Non-SSL link—the other one doesn't works.

^yeah it seems that connect.net DNS servers are unable to resolve these and a couple more addresses that i use ..... i tried using public DNS servers but internet seems to stop altogether as soon as i move to a public DNS..

plus since the past 6 hours i havent been able to get more than 600kb on torrents ... .regular download seems normal..... torrent throttling has just been turned onto me i think

imma get that cable walla on the phone in the morning ... tell him whats up ...

hey guys i'm planning on getting connect red. Just wondering, is VOIP enabled on connect? Cuz i have this device called "magicjack" which requires ethernet cable plugin to work, its some phone that i use to make international calls, i think it requires the same ports that skype uses. And lastly i have a dlink router, model is Dir 825, you guys reckon that it would work on connect? Would be disappointing if it didn't cuz that router cost me 100$.
