Comparison of N97 & Omnia HD's camera quality

Ok guys, Mauikek (staff of SymbianPlanet) just compared the Camera quality of N97 having a 5MP camera and Samsungs Omnia HD (8MP)... and here are the results...

The last Omini picture is looking much better than the N97 one but its only one picture. The other two are better that this so i think N97 wins

In the first image, sunlight is visible in true colors in N97 pic only but in the third image, it is visible in omnia's pic only. Isn't that a piece of crap?
Just goto any mobile shop, get an omnia for 'checking', capture a pic and decide yourself.
5MP in N97 can't pull a miracle against 8MP in Samsung. Even SonyEricsson never made such a claim.

its not the megapixel its the lens which counts, a 5 mega pixel DSLR would produce much better result than your average joe 12 mega pixel camera, "megapixel" is marketing gimick created for you to spend more money, an average user does not need anything beyond 5 mega pixel (for printing purposes)

^ Dude, "baqai" just tried to tell you something, megapixel is the resolution, higher the res. bigger the image, it has nothing to do with the quality.

But I must disagree with you statement regarding sunlight... there's no difference in the time of images taken... both were taken by Mauikek as stated in 1st post... and at the same time...

Yeah I know... MP hasn't got anything todo with the image quality... but larger the MP is, it needs a better lens.... that is why Nokia is providing Carl Zesis's lens with the 5MP which are indeed superior in mobile market...

Take a look at the top row of pics.
In the pic which was taken using N97, sunlight is visible in its natural colors. On the other hand, its faded in the pic captured using omnia.

Take a look at the bottom row of pics.
In the pic which was taken using omnia, sunlight is visible in its natural colors. On the other hand, its faded in the pic captured using N97.

Thats the inconsistency i am trying to point out.
