For all of those whom say rubbish about free to play . well because you guyz don't get free epic campaign and have to play REAL game called multiplayer where you all want SKDROW chahca crack game so play like noob/gusta with AI/computer Opposition , complete campaign just once and delete game from hardisk without spending a single $ . And E.A know this typical mind set of gamers that why they introduce it as massive online game so who want to win he/she need to pay . simple .

[h=1]Command & Conquer: Generals 2 Will Launch Sans a Single-Player Campaign[/h]

A very descriptive headline here, as Command & Conquer: Generals 2 will not launch with a single-player campaign.

This represents the latest conceptual massaging of the title, which recently went free-to-play under the larger "Command & Conquer" digital platform.

The news comes via PC Gamer, which got confirmation on the 'no single-player' decision from BioWare Victory General Manager John Van Caneghem. Mr. Van Caneghem said the focal points for the title, at launch, will be on “co-operative and competitive” skirmishes, with the opportunity to potentially add things like a single-player campaign down the road.

A quote from the piece:

“As a live service I think the exciting part is you can try things. You can see what the community wants, you can give it a shot, you can put it up for a weekend and see how it goes, develop towards what the fans like.”

Reiterating a bit, various modes like co-op and multiplayer deathmatch were alluded to for C&CG2 in lieu of a story mode, as was the integration of an e-sports featureset.

If you're curious which games could be next for the new Command & Conquer service, Mr. Van Caneghem mentioned Tiberium and Red Alert as possibilities, adding that players may be able to play the games under the same account. If that's the case, some pretty involved faction-based play could be part of C&C's offering.

I don't think they can make a single player campaign for Generals. They fear FOX News too much. Remember when they tried to use the word Taliban in Medal of Honor multiplayer. The backlash against this would be much worse.
Considering what EA is like now, I can't believe they managed to release the first Generals with a GLA campaign without any controversy except a ban in China in protest of the level where the Chinese blow up a large mall and another where they destroy one of China's most famous dams.

I don't understand why are people hating it so much if there is no single player campaign at launch. It is the age of digital downloads, even if they haven't introduced it now, they can launch the campaign later and it won't give any harm in downloading it. I just hope the multiplayer part of the game is good and teams are well-balanced.

[h=1]New Command and Conquer Will Have Single-Player Campaign, Thanks To Fans[/h]

Previously, we reported that EA would be issuing the next game in the beloved Command and Conquer franchise without any sort of single-player campaign.

Apparently this has not pleased many fans since EA announced today that they'd changed their minds and that Command and Conquer: Generals 2 would indeed have a single player component after all. And supposedly we have the flexibility of free-to-play to thank for that.

During an interview with the Verge, EA's president, Frank Gibeau, noted that fan response compelled them to include a single-player mode:

"Does that mean it's not going to have single-player? No, that's something we've obviously heard loud and clear that is important to people. The beauty of free-to-play, is that we can adjust and adapt to what we're hearing as opposed to, 'I'm sorry, it's two months from ship and it is what it is.' It's a very different model because you don't have to build as much. You build in response to your audience."

It was also revealed that units from the Tiberium and Red Alert branches of the franchise would eventually be available in the game.

Our Take: We're glad EA is listening to their fans and putting a single-player version in the game. But whether that's enough to address the skepticism still lingering in the community over the game's free-to-play nature is still an open question.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
