1. bad installation / file corrupt / file failed to copy properly
if you are installing this game via a dvd i suggest you copy contents to hard disk and install it from there , that way during copying you can find if the dvd is bad and you can do a proper install

yes i played it even ended it today,

Happens for me too. That error will come the first time you start the game, if you launch it again it should go away. Also try disconnecting your internet and then running the game it might help.
Thats mainly because of the Co-Op thing, COD5 tries to login everytime you get into the game.
