Hi mods,

Is this feature possible on current forum as instead of requesting to the mod of that area, thread opener can close "his" own created thread if he find it is gone haywire!

Regards.

^Wait for some other replies. Don't close.
But i also noticed that most of the threads in Market place section are still open even after the thread maker request to close it.
I thinks providing the power to the thread maker to close the thread is great idea.

i agree with you at that point but the power to close they thread should not be given to every one as it may become joke for some newbies

dude not every thread. The thread opened by the "thread starter" can be closed by himself.

Its No harm in it ? But I think mods are appointed for some reasons to let them do their job. They will see thur it and decide whats appropriate or whats not . It would be more helpful in that way.

I don't agree with this idea as people will start to misuse this option by creating and closing threads as they wish thus creating more havoc to deal with...the mods have been appointed for a reason, let them do their job.

I will say No way

Thread Opener should use his mind before opening his thread !! And there are so many mods and global mods for closing unusual threads

Its a good idea, MANY forums have this option and is very useful!
we are a bit different then the MANY other forums :)

Anyway, as I said NO already so there is no room for it! besides that there are lots of active mods now you can PM them whenever you require to close your thread and in Market Place mods usually and mostly close the thread when they see the notice at the end "Mod, Please close this thread" by the buyer.

Lastly, closing of threads don't occur on daily basis, it's quite rare and we have enough staff here to handle such requests in no time.

Thanks,

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
