Can anyone explain this??

Salam,I bought this card a few days ago,It shows 1GB GTS 250 when the PC is turned on but when You check it in GPU-Z, It shows 256MB GTS 250.
I know it isn't GTS 250 but which model card it can be??

use some other similar app to confirm if it shows the samething. Then google the images for the same model and compare your card to it physically, check if its the same..

I didn't check it at the time but he is a trusted guy
no problem in returning it to him but i want to know what the problem is

i knew it, now im 100% sure thats a fake gts 250.....if possible return the gpu.

Reason for how i know its fake gpu:mostly at time gts 250 comes with two sli fingers plus position of sli finger is change in the above picture which is not right......

Also if you check the sticker with barcode, it say GTS260 1024M ...
A real deal doesn't have such blunders, this should be enough to ring bells in your head that its fake.

play any game in hd graphics while cpu z is launched in background, than switch to your desktop and check the ram utilization if its near to 1G its ok !
then it might be a bug
