Most likely standalone like Cold War. Warzone can be accessed from its main menu, but it needs to be downloaded independently.
and I HATE it...hate that you need to download the campaign from the store inside the multiplayer lobby individually - like how does that make any sense
Yeah, it's definitely an annoyance. I think the issue is that there's no PS5/Series X|S version of Warzone, and therefore it can't be integrated into the main app. Hopefully they do current-gen builds soon.
Hilarious how one Call of Duty fanboy was more concerned about shifting blame on Blizzard. Yikes.

The company is called Activision Blizzard, so they obviously wouldn't want their name up there during the lawsuit.
Vanguard will still outsell both Battlefield 2042 and Halo Infinite put together, so it doesn't hurt their bottom line either way lol.

Tried the Alpha.
It's a game of cat 'n mouse! Whomever gets the aim down first wins! Typical COD. Unlike COD:M, that game still allows for better skills to win over the campers.
COD: M is perfect!
It's super hard to spot the opposing team members, everything is so fucking dull & brown!
Anyway, don't like the WW 2 era guns & setting, so I will skip it.

Played the Alpha today. Ran at a relatively stable 120fps, though this was on Champion Hill mode, which is 3 vs 3 at max. Will be interesting to see how frame rate fares in 6 vs 6 modes.
Movement and core mechanics are similar to Modern Warfare. The slide covers a larger distance than in Cold War, the mount mechanic is back from MW, and your weapon model loosely tracks your reticle like in the latter, and TTK is about the same. Weapons, however, feel different in handling. From what I've played so far, Vanguard's gameplay seems to be a cross between WWII and MW.
Will decide if I'll get this day 1 after the Beta. COD games usually go on sale during the Christmas period, so may wait until then.
The DualSense features are fantastic. Haptics and adaptive triggers are both better implemented here than in Cold War. The left trigger tightens up at the mid-pull (at least with the default weapon), so you don't end up pulling it all the way. This is a real game changer for me. I'm confused as to how they're going to replicate this on the Xbox controller, since it appears to get enabled after a few weapon upgrades. It kind of makes sense for it to be tied to upgrades, because you go in and out of ADS much faster than you do if you pull it all the way down.
P.S. Did Necrokiller make this?

Also pay attention to how you have to be in the right position to wait for the button prompt and not confuse it with vault prompt.. LMAO...there is even a moment when you started firing by mistake expecting the game to "blindfire".
