manigamer Haha, that granny peach tea part was fun :p I really need to re-watch the movie again, but I'm waiting for bluray release, which will be 30 mins longer. Maybe it will increase my rating for the movie and enjoyment more too!

Spoiler: show
Well it would be interesting to see what would the reactions be of everyone, when they find out superman is alive. I hope they show it in Justice League part 1 movie. Btw i thought they would be green lantern in the movie. Was there also a nightwing reference in the movie? I might have missed it

Anyway, this movie made me excited for Justice League a bit.

And the cameo from
Spoiler: show
Erza Miller as The Flash was shit. He really looks like some stoner . Grant gustin all the way

Also Justice League vs Teen Titans animated movie out on torrents :D

I thought Superman knew about Bruce as Batman during that scene in Lex's house he was hearing everything Alfred was saying and he even confronted Bruce about Bat there.

There was definitely some humor like mani pointed out along with some of Alfred's scenes.

It ain't all dark and gloomy. But to be fair, I may be among the very few but I actually like, scratch that, LOVE the tone they are taking these DCEU movies in. Lets face it, there is no shortage of fun and lighthearted superhero movies, so I welcome a different approach on the other side. And so far, I'm loving it.

By the way, the senate scene:

Spoiler: show
Loved it, one of my favourite in the movie. I thought that maybe they'll condemn superman more etc and talk politics, but Lex blowing everyone up was a huge SHOCK and I love how it happened, with the senator stumbling to say something and then seeing that jar or granny's peach tea. It was pretty savage thing to do, solidifying him as a character who doesn't kid around.

Watched the movie for the second time today and I must say, I really really REALLY liked it when I compare it with the first time I saw it... All my answers have been answered. Everything is there, you just have to listen, observe and take it as the movie wants you to take it...
Yes there were a few flaws here and there BUT, you should enjoy it for what it is rather than what YOU want it to be. I gave it a 7/10 first, now I am bumping it up to an 8/10!

ALSO, Atrium 3D sucks, Nueplex (Saw the movie first time here) is better and in my 2nd viewing I saw the movie at Cinepax and I loved the 3D and the screen. It is smaller but it is brighter and shows off better 3D. Also the seats of their Gold/Platinum are soooooo comfy!
So if you can, first preference should be Cinepax, yes it is a bit expensive than Nueplex and Atrium but the experience of the Gold/Platinum screen with comfortable seats, brighter screen and better 3D, it is worth it! :D

Kind of the same feelings I had for Man of Steel, when I saw it on the big screen for the first time, I didn't like it much. I gave it a 6/10. But when I saw it the second time on Blu-ray on me PC, I freaking loved it and bumped the score up to 9/10! And I have been loving it every time I see it after that too...

he got suspicious of him at that time but when lex on the helipad scenes tells superman that i wrote the letters to bruce and i did this to happen took two years and all for this fight to happen it clears the suspicion and that tells superman that bruce is batman.

[h=1]Batman V Superman Box Office Update; Passes $500 Million Mark[/h]

Critical scorn is not enough to stop the ultimate battle between heroes, as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice continues to perform well at the box office. Fans worldwide have been coming out in droves to witness Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman face off in their first ever co-appearance on the big screen, bringing in an estimated $166.1 million domestically, for a total of $420.1 million worldwide during its opening weekend along.
Batman V Superman‘s opening weekend take also beat the previous March debut U.S. box office record of $152.5 million set by The Hunger Games in 2012, as well as the Easter weekend debut of $147.1 million record set by Furious 7 in 2015. Now, Dawn of Justice has broken a couple more box office records for the month of March, in addition to passing a noteworthy mark at the global box office.
Deadline is reporting that Batman V Superman broke the record for highest Tuesday in March by bringing in $12.2 million domestically, beating the previous record of $10.3 million, also held by The Hunger Games. This news comes hot on the heels of Monday’s record breaking $15 million, and contributing greatly to the film’s $501.9 million take worldwide. The pace of the earning bodes well for the film, which needs to bring in roughly $800 million to start turning a profit. Warner Brothers is more than pleased with the film’s performance so far, issuing a statement via their president of Worldwide Distribution Veronika Kwan Vanderberg.

“These incredible numbers are building momentum for not only this movie but for the upcoming slate of DC superhero films.”
The momentum is expected to last through this weekend, with many analysts anticipating a noteworthy second weekend box office gross for the movie. As Deadline also reported, some predictions put this battle of the titans at about $60 million for the domestic take – and in the absence of any major new releases for the weekend, Batman V Superman should retain its number one slot. Of course, it’s also worth noting that this number would be a significant drop-off from Batman V Superman‘s opening weekend, even by tentpole standards (which nowadays generally gross half or less of their opening take in their second weekend at the box office).

This is still good news overall for WB/DC, which had a lot at stake with Dawn of Justice. As the second movie in the DC Extended Universe, following 2013’s Man of Steel, the studios’ hopes of having a viable superhero movie universe to call its own hinged on Batman V Superman – and will face its second test with the upcoming Suicide Squad. Though a number of critics and fans alike have taken issue with the sheer amount of universe-building that transpires in Batman V Superman, the risk seems to be paying off. At least for now.
Batman V Superman has both detractors and supporters of all shades, even as WB/DC continues to move full-speed ahead with the Snyder-helmed Justice League Part One, which begins filming next month. Meanwhile, David Ayer’s Suicide Squad is one of the more heavily anticipated movies of Summer 2016 – though it will be interesting to see what (if any) noticeable effect the reception to Batman V Superman has on Suicide Squad‘s eventual box office performance.
Still, all in all the future continues to look bright (or, if you prefer, bright enough) as far as the DCEU is concerned. Even as many derided Dawn of Justice overall, the film certainly whetted a few appetites for more of Affleck’s Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman on the big screen. With Wonder Woman currently being filmed, and more Batfleck expected in the future, even those who disliked Batman V Superman may be looking forward to what comes next from DC.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
is now playing in U.S. theaters. Suicide Squad will arrive on August 5, 2016, followed by Wonder Woman on June 23, 2017; Justice League Part One on November 17, 2017; The Flash on March 16, 2018; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League Part Two on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps. on June 19, 2020.

i think ppl really misunderstood lex's character, he was funny but he had a totally different side which we saw upon him when he
Spoiler: show
blew up the senate council and had no regard for her secretary even, thats the REAL LEX we know right ? no mercy at all... his inner self was hidden all along the movie and no one saw it just subtle hints given.

When I think about it, the movie had some pretty great small nuances here and there, which I'll surely get more when the bluray comes out and I rewatch it A LOT cause there is just so much in the movie.

One such great moment that comes to mind is:
Spoiler: show
During Batman vs Superman fight, when batman has used his kryptonite grenade on supes and is fighting him in the building, I love the scene when he pinned him against the wall and is punching him while supes power comes back and the effect of the punches slowly dissipates until it doesn't effect anymore and Batman slowly backs off with one hand going up like "Hey now, chill." XD

Well that's sad. I hope it still earns enough in its lifetime earnings to be able to called a respectable total. Otherwise haters will have just another argument. :p

This movie is rated below all Marvel movies(except Fantastic Four),even low below Daredevil. This is the effin Supes and Batman first time on screen and it was a nice movie.I think critics had an agenda as no way this movie is worse than Ant-man,Thor movies and Iron Man 2 and 3. They say it is rushed and things wrapped up in a rush yet critics had no problem in Ultron movie when Thor just comes and hits the chamber with hammer for Vision with his"i know this is the right choice" and everyone is Ok it is right as he says.No one has issues with rushness of Marvel movies,Thor2 was horrible (1 was nice one though) but if you have one-liners and jokes then it is ok. DC and Marvel are two different styles even in comics for a reason, why should DC movies be like Marvel ones in their tone.
I really like Cavill as Superman and maybe it is a vendetta or an agenda but n o way this movie is as bad as people are trying to make it be.

The reason this shitshow failed with the critics isn't because they had an agenda, it's just because the movie has no substance. It's basically DC's attempt at making some of that Avengers money, but without the whole planning part and spending money part.

If you people actually think that the DCCU is supposed to be super serious then why the hell is Suicide Squad getting reshoots to add in more humor?

Well Suicide Squad story line isn't as serious as some other DC materials, there is always dark humor there,i mean Harley is the face of Suicide Squad, doesn't that show it isn't a serious team, dark maybe, but not serious.Plus Deadshot has been a snarky character and Captain Cold has been humorous as well. And reshoots are normal for every movie, almost every marvel movie does reshoots, both Avengers did it and so did Winter soldier. The reason i say about agenda is that critics started analyzing it like it was Godfather or Blade Runner and even rated it below really bad movies like Daredevil,Thor 2 and Iron Man 2.
