So on Monday evening I bought a used Oneplus 3T from OLX. The seller was a 21-22 years old kid and told me that he himself purchased the phone 3 months ago from dubai and selling it to upgrade to Mi Mix2. Anyways, I thoroughly checked the set using its secret code and different apps. Once I was satisfied I paid for the set and came home. After reaching home, I ran different apps including heavy games and benchmark apps. Since then, everything was working perfectly fine until last night. I was sitting in a friend's house and phone was in my jacket's pocket, I received a message and took the phone out of my pocket, that's when I noticed the display was a little yellowish. I didn't think of it much and put it back in my pocket. When I reached home, I took the phone out and that's when I noticed that there were lines all over the display and colors were washed out. I don't know what happened, I went to market to get it checked and the repair guy told me that the display is done for and needs to be replaced :( I still can't understand how this happened, could it have been faulty when I purchased it or was it just bad luck, as the phone never fell down or pressed on during my short ownership. Can anyone suggest me some shop in Isb/Rwp where I can get it replaced, I don't want to buy the LCD online from aliexpress as I don't know if those displays will be any good. I am hoping that I can find the display locally...

Well as far as experience is concerned, it think its just badluck if the screen had an issue you would have seen it when you were testing it, and about lcd panel i think you wont be able to find it locally its best to buy from aliexpress, to me ali express is the biggest market for these things like phone and computer parts and i myself have ordered several things from there including screen of xiaomi note 4 and xiaomi note 3 and my experience is good just keep in mind that you always see the sellers rating and reviews before buying from them on aliexpress but theres money back guarranty too so issue there just that it sometimes take more than 15 days to arrive if you select the free china post :) i hope this solves the issue

Talked with Oneplus support guy, he's saying that if I can get it in one of the supported countries then they can offer pickup service for repair and will replace it with an original O-AMOLED unlike the cheap LCDs available on aliexpress.... I am confused, read some posts online that those LCDs are cheap quality with touch sensitivity issues and color issues :S What should I do? He quoted me 96 euros for the whole process.

OnePlus has no official support in Pakistan so that won't be happening.

Here's one on AliExpress with good ratings as well:

AliExpress Mobile - Global Online Shopping for Apparel, Phones, Computers, Electronics, Fashion and more

Always hated olx. I've bought 2 phones from olx till now and every time there was some hidden problem with the phone, ever since my bad experience I've preferred pg over olx. You may not have the same variety of olx here but the pg score thing is a very good indicator of scam. Always try to avoid olx, my biggest fear using olx is of robbery more than anything else.

Well its pretty much bad luck if upon checking you confirmed if it was not repaired having 3rd party screen installed,I dont think here we have that experienced repair experts to get the AMOLED panel running for a while ,if that was the case many Samsung and AMOLED phone victims would have at least some temporary go to solution

It could be a 3rd party cheap LCD or original one toasted by bad luck

AMOLED panels are very expensive and as other members already quoted you are better off with Aliexpress and since its a Chinese company you may end up with a good panel (Although Oneplus and Stock android doesn't do good in China they would prefer Oppo from parent company with ColorOS instead)

As for OLX ,for me PG is my only go to place for Used Tech OLX is more of a mixed bag,You'll find all kind of people there, decent one's,scammers, rip off's even worse people gave up their dough or tech

Personally in my experience in the end its all on you ,I dont blame these except for the one's with all claims and new products like homeshopping etc
(Always remember one should always live upto description either individual or website whomever claims it[learned that one from taobao])

on vendors like PG,OLX it depends on individual here on PG its just different because community is treated like a family and you make good friends along with trades and it continues while on OLX its just you and the seller so to be on OLX you gotta be smart I've dealt with some very nice people there (so nice that I was surprised) but that was mostly luck you can't tell what other person maybe just from ad

Anyways hopefully you get a good LCD at lower cost good luck mate

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
