Boi O Boi i was about to post something about Senna few weeks back. read an article about it and then watched the documentary. No doubt he was the best F1 driver the world has ever seen. The time when Honda engines v10 and v12 showed the strength, power and longevity. Wish Honda and Toyota to bounce back once again in F1.

Will recommend documentary on Senna for all motorsport fans.

not the greatest of all time imo. One of the best yes as Alan prost was competing neck to neck with him in that time.

Micheal Schmacher w/o a doubt is a GOAT been watching him since start of his career this guy is nothing short of a genius.

Except that Alan didn't jump over five places ahead in a single round and neither did it take his F1 car to the limits of drifting to do so, but Senna did!

Who knows what Senna could've achieved if he were still alive. Lots of politics involved at that time though. Alan was a tough competitor too.
But for me Michael is the GOAT, I used to watch in awe as he drove the wheels off that Ferrari.

This is just astonishing. Setting up those speakers around the track and then virtualizing the reality, mind boggling & impressive.

Calling Senna the best driver of all time would be a little exaggerating, since Prost was competing neck to neck with him. I would definitely call him The Best Sportsman i have seen to date.

However, his performance is unexpected (wet) conditions was Jaw Dropping, and i have never seen anyone drive like a mad person on wet conditions.

His death was shocking, to say the least. Maybe it was his time (as obvious from the crash) but one thing is a fact here ... he definitely left his mark on the world never to be forgotten again.

I just wanted to add, there is a new movie coming soon; Rush (2013) featuring our Mighty Thor i.e. Chris Hemsworth. Its about the Rivalry between two F1 drivers from 1976 Season.

This is one of my Most anticipated movies of 2013.

I am not really a Fan of F1 but ever since i watched Senna's Documentary, i became interested. So credit goes to Senna (or rather Jeremy Clarkson in Top Gear for showing off that Documentary. Otherwise, i won't have known about a great driver ever existed)

Actually you make a very good point.

But his personal life isn't a question here. Because he definitely seemed a lot better than Prost, and always stayed Humble.

Not only that, his love for Family and behavior towards his parents was admirable.

But we should give some credit to Prost because he wasn't mediocre at all "being a driver" and he definitely seemed a tough challange for Senna.

And he was shown to be a Political Player rather than Passion Follower Senna.

So yeah, if we follow what you are saying, Its no question Senna is The Best.

How often do you see your Country welcoming you or cheering you like that.

It might he irrelevant here but just for the same of Argument ... Paki team agar cricket match jeet jaye, to Awaam naray baazi and affection ki intiha kar de gi.
Agar na jeet paye to White Eggs with lots of abuses.

Compare that to Senna. Not only those people Cheered for him in good times but also in bad times. THAT is something heart touching and definitely touches the bottom of ones heart.

Whether its on track, in briefing room, with fans, in brazil, or even in the world after him
Just imagine a new guy dethroning a god like Alan Prost n meanwhile fighting the political FIA n it's cruel after effects ... If u watch the documentary Senna n just see how F1 n alan Prost turned him into ... Especially the interview after his one of controversial wins over Alan Prost n claiming the championship ... He did what Alan did to him the year before n though he was extremely happy to win but the guilt of playing unfair was all over his face ...
Days of Prost vs senna will always be the golden days of f1 n can never comeback

He is truly one of the greatest drivers of all time. he could take an f1 car right up to the limit and keep it there for the whole race.
