I bought a D5300 with 35mm 1.8G few days ago... really happy with the results im getting...

@nabeel1124 - I'd suggest you to also go for 35mm lens since it's a DX version. If you chose the 50mm, It'll multiply the focal length since 50mm is an FX lens. It would be too difficult to take shots indoor.

@opethian - dude I am absolutely impressed by the shots you've taken! Just saw ur flickr page and it's amazing... I've been trying to get picture of the milkyway (in the middle of Lahore lol) and barely getting anything... just few stars and mostly it's white... even after using LightRoom... I read you can take pic of Milkway even in a lit city but I'm not getting anything.. is it due to air pollution mixed with light pollution?

Anyway - here are a few of my shots that a friend uploaded through his flickr account...

Hello everyone. I had been away from Pakgamers since quite some time therefore Babar asked me to introduce myself and share my portfolio here. I am a doctor, business entrepreneur. head instructor at Nikon/Olympus and a photographer by profession. I am not very active on 500px and Flickr but here is my Facebook page:

I am lucky enough to have one of the largest collection of equipments in the country but let me tell you, equipments don't help unless you know how to use them to their maximum potential. Here are some of the pictures from my portfolio. I have downloaded these off my Facebook to save time therefore the quality is compromised.

Either u shoot all stuff ur self or u train ur team very well as every picture on ur page has same level of expertise n technical excellence. Whether some people like ur work or not but I'm really impressed.
Plz explain how u took this picture? Is it pure ambient light or u used some strobes/flash

This was taken using a D610 and 85mm 1.4G @ 1.4. Used some small leds to make the foreground while the chandelier on the bride's right served as a filler. And post processing in PS as needed. Everything done manually. No filters or plugins used.

We have been conducting classes at Nikon since more than a year now. The pictures on the page are either taken by me or my friend who's the co owner of this studio. I don't upload pictures taken by rest of the team members even though their work is pretty good. Most of our sessions are in fact free of cost. So let me know if you'd like to attend some. Believe me, we have been to Russia and Malaysia and the designer and models we met including the ones in Pakistan told us that they had never seen this kind of photography on the ramp, ever. Being a doctor I don't take a lot of projects. Only a few weddings and some fashion shoots. And you're right, a lot of page on Facebook are over rated and they charge a lot more than what their work is worth.

They don't allow us to record our lectures. I would love to make tutorials at home but have been very very busy lately. I am a doctor too besides being a photographer and I hardly get time to sleep. That's the reason I disappear from PG every now and then.
