aoa guys. so im a bit confused about this particular form of engineering. i want to know what exactly architectural engineering is and can one get a degree program for it from an engineering institute or from an architecture school? plus i saw somewhere a term called a 'building engineer'. are these 2 things different? i mean looking for the type of engineering that's responsible for things like designing and(/or?) construction of civil infrastructure like roads, footpaths, parks (urban planning and the likes) and also buildings. im not sure if any of this makes sense but i dont know much when it comes to these things so please help me out. thanks :)

Yes, architectural engineering is also called building engineering. Its similar to civil engineering but it has more to with designs unlike materials in civil and its also similar to architecture in a sense that you will be designing things but it is also different because you will also deal with the construction... So, i guess its more of a blend between civil engineering and architecture!

Turns out it is a blend of all types of engineering with architecture... But in architectural engineering, its all about building.

Architecture deals with making the floor plans of a building and designing the shape of the building. Civil Engineering, working on the same building, would deal with the material used for the building and how to design the building so it can support its own weight. Architecture is more like arts. Civil Engineering is more about physics.
