Any 1 Using Radeon HD 7770 ? What About its Performance

Guys I going to buy today Gigabyte HD Radeon 7770 OC .. but after reading lots of reviews on an authentic web, I have changed my mind for now because most ppl are complaining that it gives system hangs, crashes, system Freezes, Need to update bios to F5.. !! Most of ppl are having same issues !! here are some of user reviews:

I bought this card having confidence in a Gigabyte product.
Installed the card, used drivers from manufacturer website and it freezes continuously in games (mostly CoD series) - needs reset. I updated to latest BIOS (F5) and tried AMD's latest official drivers (12.6) and even latest beta 12.7 - same behavior, freezes continuously! There's nothing wrong with my system (Win 7 -x64), same configuration with an older 6600GSO card, same games are running just fine - so it is obvious there's something wrong with this video card or with the AMD drivers.
Other Thoughts: I can see on manufacturer's website they have a rev. 2.0 for this product - i think this is a sign they acknowledge there is a problem with rev 1.0!
I am thinking to return this to newegg and get something else.
Save headaches and time, maybe spend a little bit more and do not make the same mistake as I did.

Pros: It has good specifications, it is fast. But when you use it for games, it will always hang. I am playing Diablo 3 with this video card and I always end up hanging. You can still play with it but not more than 10 mins. You will be forced to use task manager to end task diablo because of your video card giving up while you are playing.

Cons: Gigabyte Amd Radeon HD 7770 - 1Gb, 128 bit should be enough for good games, but it is not.

Other Thoughts: They sell it for less because they know that this video card has no capability for other good games. Sorry, no refund, but you can change it to the same item with same defects.
I bought this because of the specs, and these specs should be good enough for games.
Oh, it is good enough, if it doesn't hang.

Pros: Fast. Value for money.

Cons: Card ended up with frequent black screens (Screen go black, need to power cycle). Updated to latest firmware, and latest driver. Even tried with a Beta version of driver. Nothing worked, ended up with a exchange to a different model.

Other Thoughts: Many have complained about Black screen issue after some time. It is real. Don't buy, waste of your time.

I just want that if any one using Gigabyte HD 7770 or Sapphire HD 7770 or any brand in 7770 series can share his experience about its perforamance will be highly appreaciated..!! and i think it will help most of PG members also who are going to buy this card.

what you ppl think after these ? is this card worth buying ? not only Gigabyte ppl are complaining also some other brands like sapphire and HIS HD 7770 with same issues thinking it as a buggy card .. May be its because drivers or what ever and what is bios f5 how can we upgrade bios ? .. Please help me guys .. give your remarks about it .!!

U can always find people finding issues with their cards which might very well be their operating system related..

7770 is a great card and Gigabyte makes one of the best quality products..

Well for the OP,i cant say much about other brands and whatnot but i have been using Club 3d 7770C for a while now and it has never given me any problems.I have not updated bios since i bought this mobo new. I have played almost every latest game on it and im playing Far cry 3 and Blacklight retribution on it right now.
Getting 45Fps average on far cry 3 at EVERYTHING MAX (including AA). Never hanged and hopefully never will. Another member also asked the same question,if you are looking for a new GPU,then this is the best GPU in range of 13-15K. And Club 3d costs less then 13.5K now with full 2yr warranty.
On the other hand Gigabyte is 5-10% faster with less warranty and as u can see from some of the reviews,not much improvement in performance for the extra cost.
Mine is at stock settings and has passed 6850 in 3Dmark vantage.

I use the HIS 7770 GPU, play BF3 on ultra settings on 1600x900 resolution for hours, Never ever game a single problem. I don't know how you guys get it.

I also went through those reviews b4 buying it, but I'd say just ignore them.

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.

    As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
