Annoying neighbours with pets

Anyone know how to deal with neighbours who have extremely annoying pet roosters that keep crowing at random times including 3:30 am and 4:00 am. They are right next to my room so I have trouble sleeping or working.

We already asked the maid to talk to them, and they did nothing and my parents won't let me talk to them directly about it.
The area is DHA so if there are any authorities I can inform anonymously, please tell me.

i faced the same problem my rooster crows too much but even though no body ccomplaint about him but i myself realised that they are getting annoyed from this so i placed his cage in my room in night and keep everything dark and no sound from outside so he kept sleeping and wake up in 10 am when i wake up and made some noise and turn on light.the rooster usually crows when they are sleeping for some time and then hear any sound of people they think its morning time so lets wake up.i am telling you this as i have experienced this for 5 years

my neighbors had a dog and they kept him unchained, he used to come out and wander freely in the street and terrorized a lot, owner knew it and did nothing, when ever i complained they just hushed it inside and told me that he is harmless blah blah, off-course harmless for them, but terrorized us a lot so, finally one day i went up to my roof and took some shots at him with my airgun, fortunately for the dog the shots were missed as the distance for too much but he did got alarmed. any how soon after i just terrorized him in return and that worked.

in your case i like what Blastwave says, but.. i am glad i did not hurt that dog that day other wise would have lot of guilt. so best is complain to DHA.

@OP - I suggest talk to them first, if they're reasonable they'll do something about it.

Airsoft guns work on dogs because dogs usually have a large sense of boundary, they will completely avoid the same behavior and that area after a few airsoft shots.

Roosters don't have that sense, they will just move a little further away and still be noisy.

Though we are entirely dependent on the Almighty Allah we tend to forget in the busy routine of living to make Duas. Thus, the rooster’s crow can function as a reminder for us to specially ask Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) for His favours; and the braying of donkeys can be our alarm clocks to wake us up to seeking Allah’s protection.


I myself have noticed in several locations, roosters making their noise during early morning hours.

Last year i had the same problem with my own rooster, it produced too much noise ALL the time. Whoever thinks rooster only gives (Azzan) at fajr time is hugely mistaken.
I got really annoyed by him and had to get rid of him and my hen even though she was laying eggs. I came to the conclusion that such animals are best kept and bred in village atmospheres where no one cares.
