While still in experimental stages, Google released Android ART on it's latest Nexus 5. I opened up Youtube last night to see comparisons between ART and Dalvik (JIT) in order to get an idea of the difference in performance. Since Nexus 5 features a Snapdragon 800 processor, the difference between app loading times and performance on both compilers was very minimal.

On my good old Galaxy S2, I flashed a custom ROM a couple of days ago which had the option for using ART deep in the Developer Options.
I thought I'd see how ART vs. Dalvik fares on old hardware. I was pleasantly surprised to see a great performance improvement on my phone. Apps are loading up much faster the phone is markedly responsive overall.

Haven't tested battery timings yet, though ART claims to improve battery usage as well.

Is anyone else ART? I'm looking at non-Nexus5 owners. Please post your impressions.

Mine has the option to chose runtime but I'm afraid things like Xposed aren't yet compatible with ART?

Used it on nexus 7 2 couple of days ago since it is in experimental stage so no difference in performance and also it have compatible issues with most apps but in future it will be a great feature of android.

Yep, sadly Xposed doesn't support it yet.

I've been using it ever since I flashed a custom 4.4.2 on my S III, and I've seen a substantial amount of performance boost, phone boots up faster, it's responsive, and yes, it does give a better battery life. I hope they continue ART and introduce it to more devices.

Using it on my Moto G. Works fine.
Great. Does it also improve benchmark numbers as well? Because ever since I started using 4.4.2 I never felt any delays even though my GPE ROM uses ext4 partition instead of the f2fs which is slightly faster I believe (?).

In all my time using Android, I don't think I've EVER run any benchmarking app :)

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
