Advice Required PTCL vs Wateen

Dear PGs,

Currently i have a wateen 1MB connection. Although it does give dot 1Mb all the times which is good for surfing but it does appear good for online games especially COD BO. I heard its ping/latency issue. Will it be ok if I shift to PTCL? will it make any difference and what speed conneciton shall i get.

yea ptcl is great for online gaming, i've never had lag in most games but cod servers are shitty

2mb ptcl would work like a charm and you can play without lagging

i currently have 2mb ptcl, evo and wateen 1mb unlimited
there is something wrong with my line and even after millions of complains and work they were unable to fix it
now am thinking about closing evo and 2mb ptcl and moving to 2mb wateen

I've played CODMW2 and Battlefield 3 on Wateen and works fine.


Do check in your neighborhood area if PTCL has a good service going on, switch only then.

Get PTCL only and ONLY if your area has good line infrastructure. It'll have better pings than wateen.

@OP: As everyone said, go for PTCL, but only if their service in your area is good enough. Ask around in your neighborhood if someone has PTCL DSL and then ask them about the experience, if possible go to their house and do several speedtests.

yeah there is another issue he needs to look into.You know sometimes the linesmen fix our faulty wires in our homes and cut the wire and then reconnet it also known as a "joint" in their language....if one has many of those in the wires then it will directly effect the speed.

Dear PG brothers....I'm so happy to see your responses.

Guess it would be better if I visit someone on my area and see PTCL services. Actually Wateen altough good but 2Mb connection is expensive.

Go for PTCL, I'm using 2mb, the wires were changed to Fiber Optic, and they work flawlessly. Also depends on the wiring used in your area..
