Asslam O Waliekum,

My friends, I am a great fan of PakGamers.com and I always get online here for new tech and stuff.

Well, I have been collecting money from a long time and I am going to have about 70k to 80k and I want to upgrade a few major parts of my PC.

Such as case and ram but especially Graphic Card and Powersupply.

I am going to play some games in high graphics settings, such as; Assassin's Creed IV, GTA V(If it comes to PC), WatchDogs and Titanfall etc.

I want my upgrade to be future proof.

<--- You can see my specs there.

Can you guys tell me what should I upgrade and that upgrade must come under 80k?

  • Gigabyte R9 290 @ 55k (if don't want too much on GPU then at you have some other options like 7950 or 7970 or or R9 280 or GTX 760)
  • 8 GB Value RAM Kingston around 9k
  • Xigmatel Midgard 2 or any other suitable casing in lesser price
  • Corsair GS600 @ 9.1k

GTX 770 doesn't deserve 50k !!
It is slightly better or even equal to 7970 which is available @ 38k

See the comparison

AnandTech | Bench - GPU14

- - - Updated - - -

then see 290 vs gtx 770... only 5k difference but 290 is much more better than gtx 770

You already have a good processor, motherboard and 4gb ram.
Just buy Gigabyte 290 for 55k, a decent 600watts PSU and get another 4gb memory stick.

Haroon, I have heard that R9 290(x) series are really overheating. Any advice on that?
That was the issue with stock cards. Custom variants are super cool and extremely quiet !!!
You can google for appropriate reviews mate.

Asus is cooler around 4~5c but i would prefer Gigabyte due to 4 GB VRAM

this minor temps difference can be compensated by increasing fan speed, or even can be simply ignored infront of 2 vs 4 GB VRAM

Voodoo. I fell in love with this card, but only downside is that it's AMD.

I have read some reviews and they say that Nvidia is more better for gaming and AMD is only used for mining these days. G-sync is a plus for Nvidia.
Anything that will butter my mind in buying AMD?

you have right to choose what you want ..... but "AMD is only used for mining these days" is 400% wrong statement ...

read r9 290 reviews and see the difference

see a quick comparison b/w both cards

Well, your priorities are gaming so the best thing that would help you decide is too look at gaming benchmarks yourself. Currently Mantle is one of the biggest bargain one can get with AMD cards. Although Nvidia G-Sync is a good technology too, but i highly doubt you would be getting a supported G-Sync monitor just for it.

If you do not want AMD , then that's your decision. But trust me, do not buy new 770 for 50k. It is a rip off!!! Save your hard earned money and instead buy gtx 680 for around 33k or maybe spend some more and get Gtx 780.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
