A couple of questions regarding FAST-NU (Islamabad)

So I got selected for FAST-NU Islamabad campus Alhamdulillah. But I have a couple of questions regarding the admission process.

1. I also applied for financial aid through their online admission portal but I haven't heard from them as of yet. My question is to all current FAST (ISB Campus) students: does FAST give financial aid to students who cannot afford it? Especially those who are coming from different city? (Karachi here)

2. I opted for Lahore Campus as my first priority and ISB as my second but I got selected for ISB campus only. How much does the faculty, education and social life differentiate from Lahore and ISB campus?

I'd Recommend Lahore More than Islamabad
You can try next year ,,, Try giving SAT exams the next time and you may get Full Scholarship you might be able to secure a position in a Much better university !
It's All upto you but be warned the hostels in Islamabad SUCK as i have spent 2 years in a hostel here !

Really? Well I applied for IBA as well. Will get the aptitude test result tomorrow. Is IBA a good option or should I still try next year for Lahore campus?

I am alumunia of fast-nu Isb . I working in industry last 9 years and also from small city . I will say you if you are planning to stay and do job in Pakistan especially in industry opt for fast otherwise if u planning abroad don't waste money . Fast is also not good for research oriented th itings. As far as financial assistance there is very limited chances of AID. GIKI and IBA has more chances. Moreover living in Isb will cost you also 50% more than Lahore or Karachi. Living is a big problem in Isb for students because here living space is quite expensive.


I advise all of you that plan your career right know. Do you want a researcher PhD. Or industry professionals or entrepreneurs. Plan ahead and always opt easiest choices in your plan first. Don't go for enjoying university life go for Career.

+1 to what he said. You should start thinking about your future from now. If you wanna go abroad, you shouldn't waste money on private unis, atleast that's what i think unless ofc you/your parents have no problem of cash. I went to KU-UBIT for the same reason cuz it was so cheap.. approx 25k per semester. I wanted to save money to go abroad for Masters.

I was thinking about doing bachelors here, get a job and after 1-2 years go for masters abroad. And getting financial aid abroad for masters is easier than for bachelors (or so I've heard).

Bro if u opt and try Sweden or Denmark or Germany. I don't know now but few year back tuition was free. At least in sweden back in 2009-10 15-20k pkr was expense of student per month if u cook ur meal yourself.
