2nd last overclocking attempt
the current overclocking attempt
in both these over clocking attempts, they used different GPU'z. If you notice one thing, they utilized only 2 cores in the last over clocking attempt to achieve the clock speed of 7.2GHz...... While the previous one have 4 cores achieved the clock speed of 7.13Ghz (7127.85Mhz to be accurate).....
The thing i have noticed in most processors is, you can only achieve higher clocks by using minimum cores. I havent seen a 4 core processor getting that much higher. & that Multiplier is 36 times.......... Strange....!!!!

The 36 Multiplier ? All Black Edition AMDs and Xtreme edition Intels have multiplier unlocked. Heaven for overclocking!
The clocks are amazing, Black Editions ... esp. the X3 720 BE are now worthy buys, IF they price them right in PAKISTAN

Single core can achieve much higher clocks than DUal or QUad core. Well thats what i saw in most of the benchmarks. However it will be really great if they overclock a processor with 4 cores utilized at maximum. & 6 Core processors are also appearing of scene.
