So I noticed - for the past few weeks the DNS trick to watch Youtube has stopped working on my PTCL connection.

It happened around the time when others started reporting that Google DNS was not working... this is such a piss off. Now the only possible way to use Youtube on the SmartTV is connecting it on a network that is going through VPN. It's annoying and everything is slow!

How are you guys using Youtube on your TV? Or better yet, do you guys use Youtube on the SmartTV? :)

Thnx bro, I only checked Uncharted 3 rite now. ITs ok as far as stereo scopic view is concerned. But there are no pop up affects like in case of 3d movies. And besides your eyes will get stressed if you play like half an hour or so :( I will check other games later on and share my experience but so far i think 3d is not as successful in gaming like in movies. you feel like something is pinching between your eyes. Or maybe its due to active shutter technology of my 3d glasses.....

Congrats - that is a good TV. I was aiming for 6030 or 6200 myself but ended up increasing the budget for the series 7 :D

Thanks for mentioning me - I had forgotten about this thread lol! Keep it alive guys! I've added ur name on the front page!

Nice 55" - For the living room, I'm thinking of getting a cheaper 60" LG TV. The bigger the better eh?

BTW - What's your Model number of the TV? I got ur name on the list but would be nice to put ur TV model number too.

Samsung 40" ES6200 bought it almost a year ago.I use it primarily for Gaming on my PC and PS3 and watching 2d/3d movies of course btw those 3d extreme videos you mentioned are really mind blowing(Best popout i have seen so far especially that one with snake).
My unboxing thread: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f139/[unboxing]-samsung-ua40es6200-3d-led-154604/
Thank you! Those videos are amazing! Though the guy who does them seem weird but his videos are awesome :D

Added u on the list - nice unboxing btw ;)

Which 3d videos?
He is referring to '1tompo1' youtube videos I had mentioned HERE.

Every 3DTV owner should see it atleast once... it really blows away any 3d game or movie you might've seen :)

Hmm - in my experience 3D games have had better 3D effects. You should really try 3D gaming from the PC. The consoles are too old to give you that quality.

I played the new Tomb Raider and man its amazing... Lara is sometimes coming out of the screen. her pony tail is always coming out when she runs :) - it's really fun to see! Arrows also zoom pass u during fights!

I recently bought LG 32LA6200 , I am loving it :D :D
I have some questions for you, if you care to answer them! :)

What is the exact Price??
Is it WiFi enabled, or do I have to buy a separate dongle???
Does it support all major formats like MKV, MP4 from USB??
How is the 3D quality??
Any idea how much the Skype TV camera costs?
And this camera easily available in Pakistan?
How is the app catalog? Just few apps like Facebook, Skype, Netflix, Youtube or we can download other apps as well??

Sorry for the long list, but I opened this thread just to ask about this model and the saw reply was that you bought this! Congrats btw! :)

LG 42" LM5800

Bought yesterday, and its mo-flipping epic. Amazing color quality, and very thin design.

Pros:
A lot of connections, 3 HDMI, 1 USB, components and RGBs etc, VGA, Antenna.
Supports a buttload of video formats. Literally runs anything I throw at it.
3D looks mindblowingly good on it.
Color quality, sharpness, backlight are all top notch (IMO).
Looks beautiful.
Good price to performance ratio for the TV and the warranty I got with it (haven't got too much experience here)

Cons:
Sometimes sound seems low in games. It is fine in movies/cable.
Have heard that it might have refresh rate issues (*haven't experienced anything bad in this regard, all seems smooth).
Its 3D glasses seem a bit flimsy. They creak and get smudged way too easily.
No WIFI or browser (has DLNA though).

I've updated the list with your model number. But I'm wondering... it can't be 5 series if the model number is ES6800 as 6 denotes the series.

Wow that is an old model. So you may be the most experienced in 3D videos. Got good suggestions on which movies are good or what games look staggering?

BTW - I've updated you on the list.

Mashallah congrats. Welcome to the Third Dimension :D! I've added you on the list. It's always good to see some pros and cons since product reviews are something rare in PK.

What was the first 3D video you saw on the TV? :)

that's a good question... so everyone should participate in replying to it.

My first video was Despicable Me (part 1) in 3D. I liked it but I was too busy tuning my TV and pic that I wasn't actually focusing on the movie. It was during my initial setup time.

Then I truly enjoyed 3D with Tomb Raider :D

First few were the store demos. But after I put in Life Of Pi, it was mindblowingly epic :D

I can't believe that the 2 GB prints by that piratebay dude YIFY were so fine in print. The shopkeepers asked me to give them my USB so that they can copy that movie lol :p

For gaming, I played a bit of Trine 2 (on advice of CerebralTiger and Kane) in 3D yesterday, all family members were awestruck. Will definitely play all parts of Assassins Creed, Dirt 3, Max Payne 3 and Tomb Raider soon :)

Currently downloading Despicable Me 1 and Jurassic Park. People are saying that JP's frame-by-frame conversion is quite good, and it is considered as a cult movie in my family so this is gonna be good. Just getting poor internet speed nowadays, so it might take a day or two.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
