And it is absolutely not true that AMD cards have short life span,it just depends on how its used. If it has been over clocked a lot and used like a horse then obviously it wont last long.
Go for the 7970. it will be faster and better then Sparkle 680 which is the worst 680 out there. It is true that some games (not all) are badly optimized for AMD like AC4 black flag but its the same for Nvidia. Most many games are unoptimized for Nvidia as well. It just depends on the develepor,what brand they favor you know. Thats it.
And now AMD is not behind Nvidia driver wise,although it was true almost 1.5 years ago but not now,AMD releases new drivers every few weeks for better and better optimization.

haha it all depends on the GPU mate. You cant compare a 7970 with a GTX 780 or a GTX 760 with 7990. In its price range,my GPU is the best. And i dont mean model wise but this specific piece is higher up on the performance chain as shown by the different pics and links i provided in the thread.
I am not sure what i will go for,i was planning to go for R9 280X but it still is not here (i mean club3D) but if it is here by then thats what i will go for or perhaps Asus GTX 760. Depends on the budget mostly,if i decide to spend more on Motherboard then probably something lower end.
Upgrading mobo and CPU to haswell mate. And will buy a lower end GPU.

Yes bro it is a very good card,but i suggest you buy R9 280x,it should be around 35K or less,it gives about 10%~ less performance then 7970 by my standards but costs a lot less too. Plus it has some other features as well since its newer.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
