  • Oh, right. I confused Torchlight 2 with Risen 2. Never mind.

But the rest of the argument still holds. Red Orchestra 2 is still a crap game, critically speaking. I don't care if it became a completely different game via content updates. As far as the critics go, the updates did not warrant a re-review of the game.

And please, have a look at my list again. I mentioned 7 games which are 90+ on Metacritic. 2 Uncharted games, 2 LBP games, one MGS4, one GOW III, and one Journey.
Killzone 3 has a level cap, so it isn't really F2P. Secondly, there are still plenty of people playing the game. You would know if you actually ever went on PSN lol.

Indies are better on PC? What indie games are we talking about here? With the exception of Minecraft (which isn't even on Steam, your holy grail lol), I see no PC exclusive indie title worth boasting about. Meh.
lol Planetside 2 is a Sony game. They'll put it on one of their consoles eventually. If not the PS3, then PS4. Besides, it isn't even out yet. There are quite a few number of PS3 exclusives scheduled for 2013.

I made a list of games from this generation. Somehow, it's okay for you to post a 2006 game like Company of Heroes, but it isn't okay for me to post a 2008 game like MGS4? LOL

Mass Effect is worthless to play on PS3? Wow, first I'm hearing of this. Oh wait, you don't have a PS3, so you can't be expected to know lol. Skyrim is also very playable, and the issue it had has been patched since quite some time now.
Hah I only mentioned the ones with respectable metascores. After all, we're talking about critical acclaim here. But no, you had to go and fetch games like Red Orchestra 2 (76 on Metacritic).

And you're also posting names of multiplatform games like Torchlight 2. I have to say, that is a bad bad list, mostly comprised of MMOs and Strategy games anyway. The games I listed belong to a variety of genres.
Also, GoTY 2009 (Uncharted 2) and 2010 (Red Dead Redemption) are available on PS3, but not the PC. Journey is already a 2012 GoTY contender, whereas there is no exclusive contender on the PC. Diablo III, while great, was still a disappointment in that regard.

Critically speaking, your experience is incomplete as a PC-only gamer.
    Uncharted series (adventure/3rd-person shooter)
    LittleBigPlanet series (platformer/puzzle)
    Metal Gear Solid 4 (stealth/espionage)
God of War 3 (hack n slash)
    Heavy Rain (adventure/thriller)
    inFAMOUS series (open-world/action)
    Demon's Souls (RPG)
    Valkyria Chronicles (Strategy RPG)
    Journey (Art)
Mega huge explosive sales? lol now where did I mention those? All I ever talked about was critical acclaim, which PC exclusives hardly get, save for Strategy games (latest example is Orcs Must Die 2 lol).

Didn't your butthurt PC elder fairy a.k.a. "I ripped my name off Necrovision/Painkiller - how creative!", teach you how to put up a good argument? Oh wait, scratch that, she can't put up one herself
Haha even if I'm insecure about my favorite platform, at least I don't lie about owning it on these forums *hint hint* ;)
Also, I don't know about you, but I don't want to go through the hassle of patching language files every time there's a new update. Hence, as you can see from my Origin account, I own the EU version of BF3.

Regarding MW3 on Amazon, maybe I can't find the link you're referring to, but the official price of a digital copy still appears to be $50:

Amazon.com: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 [Download]: Video Games

I'm sure a key can be obtained for less from other sources, though. Even Steam had a 75% discount offer on it, except that it was several months after the game's release. :wink2:
If I don't have choice over the free games I get, I do get the choice of discount on any game I want. That's the beauty of PS+. You on the other hand, get no free games on Steam (minus TF2 and Alien Swarm). And the discounts you get are on older games. Besides, you don't decide what games get discounted. The voting only takes place sometimes, and even then you're helpless when it comes to the outcome.
No, actually, low-priced PS+ vouchers are officially sold via Amazon and Ebay. You can buy BF3 for Rs. 2000, but seriously, why would you want the Russian version and go through the hassle of patching the language every time there is a title update? :)

Also, you're completely forgetting that, along with these discounts, I also get 12 free games out of which 3 are replaced by new ones each month. And keep in mind, these are not PS1 games.
It's 2 games instead of 1. Not a big deal. And you're forgetting that I'm saving $9 off 2 games that cost $15 each. The $50 amount is for the whole year, during which I recover 5 times the amount I paid. Btw, a $50 PSN card is available for as low as Rs. 3500. Go figure. :wink2:

Steam has no subscription fee, but you aren't getting such discounts on newly released games either. And secondly, I think there is some confusion here. Games you buy via PS+ discounts are yours for good. They aren't taken away once the subscription ends. That catch is only for the Instant Game Collection, which is absolutely free to begin with.

Those who want to own games permanently, can buy them at discounts. Else, they can wait until those games become available on the Instant Game Collection. So in the end, it's win-win for all.
The 150MB cloud save feature is more of an additional feature rather than the core benefit. Look at it this way; most saves on the PS3 don't exceed a few KBs, so it's more than enough for our needs.

And how, may I ask, are those free games, which includes LittleBigPlanet 2 and inFAMOUS 2, a disgrace to the PS3 and current-gen?

I've already explained to you that the PS1 games (although we do get many of these free as well) are not part of the Instant Game Collection, which is updated with at least 3 new games every month.
A $3 discount on a $15 dollar game such as CS:GO is not significant to you? Then how about the additional $3 off that you get if you buy another one of the games from that image? Or the additional $6 off that you get if you buy 2 more instead of 1? Or the $10 off you get if you buy all 4 of them?

So, technically, if I get Sound Shapes and Papo & Yo, I will have to spend a total of $21, instead of $30. PS+ just saved me nearly $10 in one week. And I'm not even counting the free games I get every month.
Speaking of which, if I buy any 2, 3, or 4 games from the image you posted, I get $3, $6, or $10 back, respectively, in addition to the 20% discount.

    PS+ : It only keeps giving! :wink2:

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

MS one upping Sony in catching the biggest L in gaming
tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
